Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 is here.
Samsung held it's latest unpack event where it introduced the world to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and yes it's called the Note 7. The previous edition was the Note 5, but now the Note and Samsung's S series are numbered the same.
The Note 6 was last seen hanging out with Windows 9. Get it?
Cuz they both never came up.
Anyway, the Galaxy Note usually gets features that even the Galaxy S line doesn't.
This time, the Note 7 becomes the first Samsung phone with USBC, that's the reversible USB type that you might have seen on Google's Nexus 6P or Apple's MacBook.
The Note 7 is also the first phone with Gorilla Glass 5. The maker of Gorilla Glass Corning, says this version of Gorilla Glass survives up to 80% of falls.
Made from 1.6 meters or a bit over 5 feet for you imperial types.
That's good, because the Note 7 also features a curved screen.
of course the note 7 features a stylus in the last version of the note the stylus could get jammed if placed in the phone the wrong way the note 7 fixed this problem.
No more jamming.
One of its more interesting features may be its iris scanner.
The rumors are true and the iris scanner will let you unlock your phone or private folders.
The Note 7 is also water resistance as far as five feet for 30 minutes.
Otherwise Note 7 pretty much has the same insight as the S7 and the S7 Edge.
