Samsung Galaxy View is an 18.4-inch tablet to compete with your TV
Thought the iPad Pro was big?
You ain't seen nothing yet.
Samsung's Galaxy View is a monster tablet built with video in mind.
Let's take a look.
Let's start with that ginormous size.
The View's screen measures 18.4 inches on the diagonal, so it's definitely too big and heavy to take out and about.
Instead Samsung thinks the View will live in your house, bridging the gap between tablet and TV.
To that end, it's got a handle to carry it from room to room, and its hinge kicks down to prop the View up in your choice of position.
Being videocentric, Samsung's built in a special tiled interface for quickly getting to all your favorite video services.
Elsewhere the views running Android Lollipop with 1.6 gigahertz optical processor and packing 32 gigabytes of storage space plus space for micro SD card.
In terms of battery, Samsung says you can expect 8.5 hours of video playback before it runs out of juice.
So, what do you think of the Galaxy U?
Do you think you'd find it useful, or is the size just a bit ridiculous?
