>> Hey I'm Tom Merritt at CES 2010. Taking a look at the Samsung e-book. Now everybody's got an e-book this year, so everybody's trying to differentiate their e-book from everyone else. This one comes in 5, 6, and 10-inch models. This is 6-inch model, the E6. It'll be available for $399 dollars. The 10-inch will be available for $699 dollars. Those are MSR, Manufactures Suggested Retail Price. They're hoping to have them out in March or April. And the differentiator here is this slide out navigation, so you could just read like this, press the next and previous button, or slide it out to get your menu, back, home. And it has this stylus. So this is not a touch screen, but you can use the stylus to navigate around and take notes directly on the page. And that's something that the Kindle doesn't have. So they're in the same space as the entourage eDGe, but their note taking system is pretty easy to use. I found it to be the easiest one I've tried so far. And you can share the notes with other people; presumably if they have the same book you can use it. Now, one of the drawbacks is no 3G. So it's not got a Whispernet, doesn't have Verizon service or anything like that. You have to have WIFI to be able to use the bookstore. Bookstore comes from Google. If you don't have WIFI you can download books to your computer. This comes with a USB drive, plug it into your computer, and drag and drop. Once again, it's the Samsung e-book available in March or April. This one's a 6-inch at about $399 dollars. At CES 2010 I'm Tom Merritt.
