>> The governments of the United States and Canada have changed daylight saving time to start earlier and end later in 2007. Your computer might not know this and that's a problem. Don't want to mess with patches or maybe you run an older version of Windows like Windows 98 that doesn't even have a patch for this. I'm Tom Merritt. Here's a quick tip for how to turn off daylight saving time in your Windows computer. The Windows clock runs the time for most of the apps in your computer so that's what we're going to change. Double click on the time in the lower right corner. Select the time zone tab. Uncheck the box that says automatically adjust the clock for daylight saving changes. Now comes the hard part. You'll have to remember to change the clock yourself on the new daylight saving time dates. Set the clock ahead by an hour March eleventh, set it back by an hour November fourth. If you still want it done automatically see our Insider's Secret on how to patch your system. I'm Tom Merritt and that's been this quick tip for CNET.com. Remember, spring forward, fall back.
