Hey I'm Donald bell -- I'm gonna show you how to print out a giant poster using any standard printer.
Need a computer. Printer some scissors and some --
We also need a picture.
Later images with lots of contrast -- to scale and print -- the -- is up less ink.
Also remember printing -- rated material against the law -- just stick to your own photos and graphics.
The first step is to use a computer to scale up the image and process it to -- -- -- printed out across multiple sheets of paper.
If you just want an accurate blown up version of any image upload it to a -- -- faster poster or block posters and -- spit out a downloadable PDF.
Citing the fact that the image is being dice that there's not a lot of processing going on here so it's great for school projects are pretty not a big -- here garage sale.
We'll have to accept that's gonna look a little Frankenstein with you glued together.
Now the goal is something pretty to hang on the -- I recommend embracing imperfection and going a little abstract. Is a great.
But unfortunately named program out there called raster -- that scales images that -- -- -- effect.
This makes them a little more forgiving to stitch together and the result has a nice Andy Warhol.
The program is a free download for windows -- -- version for Mac and Linux is also out there so check out my post on CNET how to for links and details.
Once you open up the software -- image. -- the paper size will be printing to and how many sheets wide you want the -- to be.
On the next page of my check box I'll put a cut out guide around image I'd recommend having that on.
You also have a setting for half tone dot size generally small -- work best for smaller prints and big dots meant for the big stuff but play around with it.
There's also setting here for color mode and a full color printer trying Multi Color go -- by choosing -- custom monochrome color.
If all you have as a black and white printer don't worry the results are still pretty cool and some.
Even cooler than going full color.
Finally -- -- the files and go and then hit raster --
You now the PDF -- gaming adult chopped up made ago.
-- -- -- each page is gonna look like when printed but before you do that see if you can scrounge up some -- paper to -- done.
It'll be easier to cut easier to glue and it's not gonna work as easily as cheap copy paper also if you're printing black and white tri color paper to punch things --
After you print that out all the pages it's -- to cut them up and then glue them together.
The pro Methodist -- trim off all the edges of the paper cutter and include the a -- sections to a poster board but.
The quick and cheap way to go it's a slightly edges off of every other page so that you have a little -- here that -- we wanted.
Now I did this one here with just a pair of scissors and glue stick and I flipped it over and I picked -- the -- on the back for a little extra support.
Now depending on how many pages you end up with this could take some time to assemble and chances are you're gonna mess up your first attempt and want to start over.
But he gets easier as you go -- -- -- by the time you're done you end up with something like this it's not perfect I think it looks pretty cool from a distance.
So they go those are my favorite option for putting a big posters from a small --
