'Passengers' stars chat about future space travel, tech

In the movie, you're making a very long journey. What's the thing that would sort of be the tipping point for you here on Earth to be like I gotta go, I gotta get out of here. Like I'm gonna go to some other, if we had the ability to go somewhere else? Nuclear war. You got nuclear war into the interview. Yeah I did, haha. Like, you know, like. [SOUND] Nuclear war. [LAUGH] So, in the movie you play an Android name Arthur, if you were able to have an Android and it could only do one thing for you, but it could be as realistic as Arthur. What would that robot do for you? Massage. Remember all of my passwords, and the last four digits of the credit card number, and what your Apple ID is, that. That's good. That's a good one. Personal security, just roll right behind me, and if I snap my fingers, [SOUND] Snapped neck. You would have a lot of lawsuits on your hands. Yeah, well, he'd also be a lawyer. [LAUGH] If you decided to go, there's one special thing you can bring. What's the thing that you bring with you, and why? I am gonna assume that, by the point that this can happen, the technology is there to have one small, kind of, device that can contain every book ever written And that is where I would take it. [INAUDIBLE] Kindle. It would have to be a very big Kindle, wouldn't it? Yeah, well it would come with a giant server I'm sure. Yeah, but by that point it would be tiny, and in your brain. Sure, they planted it in there, yeah. That's great. If any of the character's you've previously played could go on a journey like this, which one would it be and why? Maybe Tiffany from Silver Linings, cuz she's just wacky enough to do it. [MUSIC] I guess probably Peter Quill from Guardians of the Galaxy. He's been on journeys like this. That feels like cheating. [LAUGH] Yeah, you're right. Sorry. I played a character on a T V show called The O. C. Yeah. (LAUGH) Glad you brought that up. Andy from parks and mark will probably get trick on to the boat. Yeah, he would. (LAUGHING) He would be the most useless person that have woken up.
