CNET First Look
Pantech Duo C810 (AT&T)Even though the Pantech Duo has impressive features that include 3G/HSDPA support, we were ultimately disappointed with its subpar design.
[ Music ] ^M00:00:03 >> I'm Nicole Lee, Assistant Editor for www.cnet.com and this is the Pantech Duo from AT&T. It is a Window's Mobile Smart Phone. Its design is actually very similar to the Helio Ocean. It slides up to reveal a number keypad and it slides up this way, horizontally to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. The overall construction is kind of chic [assumed spelling]. You see the front here is a dimpled border exterior which is very reminiscent of a very old school kind of design. There are other buttons on the side here. That's the dedicated camera key. That's the recorder key right here. On the other side's the volume rocker. On the back we have a 1 point 3 mega-pixel camera. As far as features go you get the -- all the typical Window's Mobile 6 functions of course. And you also get compatibility with AT&T's Broadband Services like AT&T Mobile Music. But the device itself feels really chinsey [assumed spelling]. The slider mechanism just felt really loose. And overall we think you could probably do a lot better for the price. It's just around $199.99 with a 2 year contract. My name is Nicole Lee and this has been the Pantech Duo from AT&T. ^M00:01:07 [ Music ]
