Today we're looking at the Panasonic HX-A1.
The camera is this super compact HD action cam and weighs in at a tiny 45 grams or 1.59 ounces.
The camera's waterproof down to 1.5 meters, or five feet.
It's also dust-proof and freeze-proof down to minus 10 degrees Celsius or 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
The camera has two recording angles, 150 degrees and 120 degrees when crossed.
The HX A-1 doesn't have a screen, so if you want to see what your shot looks like, you can connect to a smart phone via the Panasonic image app.
For some accessories, like the optional head mount, it takes its mounting cues from mike stands.
For others it has a novel strap and **** system to hold the camera in place.
The HX A-1 does have a pretty cool night vision feature.
You need to swap out the normal lens to an IR lens that comes with the camera.
For those who need to record at night, it does a really good job.
If you do need night vision you need to fork out extra for a UV light because it's an optional accessory.
While the image quality isn't the best it's really worth keeping in mind that the camera itself is 270 Australian dollars or 200 US dollars cheaper than the entry level goPro session.
