Nokia gets back in the game with an Android tablet in CNET UK podcast 411

A so yea Jolla who we previously seen a phone from a decided to lunch a tablet and it did by using Indie Go Go crowd funding campaign. Interesting>> A what was particularly interesting is that within two hours of the campaign going live it already smashed its $380,000 target. What? That's pretty good going for. A well for a template. So, there is loads of people out there crying out for a yellow 7.9 inch Sail Fish OS tablet Yes! Luke. Who knew? You have stepped on the money of what I was going to say next. I stepped on the money. You stepped on the money. Traddon on it. All over the place because you always loads and just left it around. You stepped on the money and you're gonna stand there until hope. Nobody notices they've dropped their money, so Yeah you can then slide your foot [INAUDIBLE] Like, like in school when someone drops a penny and someone like, stumps their foot on it so you can't get it [INAUDIBLE] [LAUGH] That's the new, tech crowd, tech industry end game I guess [CROSSTALK] [INAUDIBLE] when you hit a post office que and an old lady drops a five and you put your foot on it, so she can't get it back Mm-hm and you just wait there [LAUGH] [INAUDIBLE] and leaves. Yeah, it's a three-fiver. I've been in the post office for hours because someone a few places ahead of me has been doing that. [LAUGH] Everyone's very understanding. Everybody's got priorities. Anyway, so. Anyway, so the YOLO tablet. I've used Sailfish before on, on the small frame version. The Sailfish is, it's a different operating system. It's not iOS, it's not Android. It's it's something new and different. It's actually based on Linux. It looks quite nice and parts of what's apparently most appealing about this and I haven't spent a lot of time with it so- Um-hm This is largely coming from [INAUDIBLE] telling me about this- Um-hm Is that is can it's multi-tasking is- Um-hm Particularly good Yeah It could have. Several apps actually running on screen at once, the example that Mark Dillon the CEO gave to me, was that you could be watching maybe a sports game and the onboard social networks, like, twitter Talking about the sports game Yeah, at the same time. You're not having to leave one app to go in something else, you can actually do it all on. It's been a while. Hey, guys. How about that sports game? Hash-tag sportsgame. So on my screen right now, you can see my lovely hand. I'm holding the the phone and also some of my bands, including that's the drawbone up on my wrist there. [LAUGH]. [CROSSTALK]. Because it's like [CROSSTALK]. What we're seeing is the video feed of Andy demonstrating the phone. But you can only see his hand and his wrist. It do looks like you've been tied to the table. [LAUGH]. It looks like you're wearing [CROSSTALK]. He's wearing a lot of, a lot of wristbands. So that, that is the phone, not the tablet. So this is, this quench run Android apps. That, that's kind of cool. It can. So according to the because it's crowdfunded thing. They, they're taking to the audience. Yeah. Part of what they really want to do with this is have the backers talking to y'all throughout the process. And they've got this separate little community portal where you can go in and say things you want to see in Sailfish. Yeah. And so hopefully they'll be able to put those actually into the software. Because you have the hardware of course, you can't say, oh, I want a 13 megapixel camera and because it's, it's nothing that you can just quickly improve on the fly like that. Yeah. But there are features where you can include. And also making demands like that would be quite selfish. Mm. [LAUGH] This guy, slow burn. Yeah, [INAUDIBLE] phone. [CROSSTALK] I wasn't listening to a word you've been saying. [CROSSTALK] [LAUGH] I saw you laughing with that little smile on your face as well which just tells me a pun is coming. It's not a little smile. So this a, this a, this a, this a [INAUDIBLE] I'm not sure if this is the future of these big names if Samsung if ever has millions of dollars on, on, on that. On developing a new phone, but I, smaller companies, obviously, Yeah. It's a good way of connecting directly with fans and gauging the demand. But at the same time, I don't know, if something's crowd-funded, if you put something out there and ask people to donate money to it, that just feels a little bit, you know, like Oculus did it and they haven't put a product, Yeah. Product, product out yet, and all those people who backed it [CROSSTALK] Yeah, but they have been bought, Yeah. Bought by Facebook. Well, yeah, exactly. Yeah. But, you know, people who put their money in, who got excited about it, they haven't seen a product yet. Yeah, I know, that's what I mean, yeah. [CROSSTALK] Product to anyone, Hm. But they did get bought. They made a lot of money. Yeah. Exactly. If your product isn't ready. I think that's quite bad. If your product isn't ready, it's all, and you're, you know, you're kind of doing it hypothetically. You know, oh if we get this many we could look at doing this. That's pretty bad, but this, the way they're kind of doing it, it's basically the same as like pre-ordering. It's just making, like you would with, with a good car. You know, you'll put your money down. Yeah. Then when you go to build it they know how many to make, they know what the demand is gonna be, and so it's kind of, it's like avoiding. Except instead of like a car, it was just a man who said that he would make you a car. Yeah. If you give him the money up front. I love how, that's how most sport cars are done, they're done on preorder. Yeah, but I mean. They don't, they don't build tons of them, they're all built to order. I just I don't know. It doesn't quiet sit right with me. Maybe I'm just a, just a haven't got with the paradigm shift. Yea, granddad why don't you go down to Woolworth's and buy yourself a [INAUDIBLE] [LAUGH] Paradigm shift is a brilliant song by Liquid Tension Expand. Hm We will, we will have to listen to that I will defiantly look that up [CROSSTALK] Just recently [INAUDIBLE]. Tried to load Smartphone on on crowd money and. Yeah. They had a particularly daft target of 32 million. Yes. That dollar switch. 32 million. $32 million.>> Is that was it was? They made. Yeah. Well, they didn't get anything near. But they did raise hope, 28 million Mm. Which is pretty impressive. So. $28 million. And that wasn't. I don't think that was ever their plan to actually release the photo. It was only a prototype. But speaking of Ubuntu. Like that's another one of the the [CROSSTALK] Yeah, Firefox OS as well. Mm-hm. There's one coming up. In fact, when we went to MWC the year before last. That was when we really started to see a lot more of these niche OSes cropping up, and in fact, I think we, we said that Firefox, or maybe it was Ubuntu, Ubuntu, yeah. [CROSSTALK] one of the best things we saw at the show that year. Mm. Mm-hm. Because it was, it had some like, innovative new features, Mm. And it was software-focused, and it wasn't about. Oh, here's the latest [UNKNOWN] hardware. It was, it was about bring it down to, to bare bones which. In, in a year when all the phones were just like the last previous years phones, but with a slight better camera. Exactly. It was an interesting new development [LAUGH] [CROSSTALK] Yeah, yeah you're right, Rich, none of these other operating systems have really done anything. [CROSSTALK] Hugely behind a except for some cheap versions. [INAUDIBLE] A couple of cheap phones in China I believe but they haven't really gotten anywhere. Let, let keeps watching that. Moving on Big news, big news it turns out actually that Samsung is old dudes. Hm Who like computer programing and toilet jokes. Yea [LAUGH] And DRY DRY and were are Apple fans are women who buy things they don't need. Now those are some big words. But that was according to you.gov profiles at rich Any ways [CROSSTALK] Buying something they don't need. That's pretty much. It's like, it's like fans of like warmth and apples [LAUGH] Our something like wheat. Well, Rich you wrote this so [CROSSTALK] explain yourself. [CROSSTALK]. U-GOV, the market research that quite often does polls. They're not actually, I didn't know this, but they're not actually connected to the government in any way. They're not kind of a chat-up. non-profit organization. I love my market research company. I think it's pretty shrewd marketing, you think you're signing a petition that might actually change something. I think that's, that's when you, when you like, you're feeling what I felt. I can show you now. Anyway, so what they've, what they've done is, they've pulled together some characteristics of people who like different things. Not just tech-rams, but everything. From foods, to films, to singers and that kind of thing. So we pulled out some of the tech fans sort of the tech fans and looked at what a typical tech fan would be. It's not quite a typical tech fan would be. [UNKNOWN] the way they put the data together is just suggesting some things these people might like. [UNKNOWN] Country file stuff, Next Generation, Police Academy, I like Country File. Reese Witherspoon, and Rex Harrison some really odd names creeping up in here. Android fans like James Bond, Rita Ora, and TK Mac. And twixes. [CROSSTALK] So, yeah, a raffle funds yea there, there's some geographical information about how where people live. So, a something Android fans tend to be a bit more, a bit more a in the north where Apple tends to be constrain in London. [LAUGH] According to this profile now it's all a bit. Yeah. I speaking directly to you angry commenter 256. This is a, it's sort of a, it's all kind of a bit crazy. It's quite interesting. I mean, looking at Blackberry, for example. They're really into Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis and Renee Zellweger. So>>And wasting money on pointless products.>> [NOISE] Oh woah, this guy.>>I've never>>Took it too far.>>I've never spoken to a Blackberry fan who wasn't talking about Renee Zellweger.>>That's all they talk about.>>Yeah. You can type in pretty much anything you're interested to see see what kinda things you're interested in. DRD00NY1 in the comments says taller good looking rich and classy people use IOS, but common folk use Android. Ooh that's what, that's what the data seems to bare out. What else is going on in your world? Well, I will definitely know when I stop having looks for c-net on You got profiles and, I tried that, it's not in there, unfortunately I, I'm on it. It's right here No, but it's not, there's no [INAUDIBLE] There's no, yeah But, yes. So while it's happening, so, if you wanted to go somewhere, for example Well, for example, if you wanted to take an [INAUDIBLE] Yeah while reminding me what I'm talking about next. You can now listen to your own Spotify playlists Wow. in some Uber rides. So Uber has partnered with Spotify, so- This is Uber the taxi app? Uber the taxi app. Yeah. And those taxi folks. So when you get into your your Uber, which Sheila booked thru the Uber app, Hm-mm. that app will now let you. Control your Spotify playlist and play it through the car's speakers. I can't imagine when I would ever want this to happen. I mean of all the partnerships that, that the world needs I don't know if Uber and Spotify are, are among them. Uber and Dominos so that you can get a taxi and a pizza on your way home from the pub would really Great idea. Really, really it is. Guys, you can have that one for free. Well, they [UNKNOWN] Domino's [UNKNOWN] Xbox One or about to be on Xbox One, I think. [UNKNOWN] play. It's voice activated. [LAUGH] So you can just sit on the sofa and be like, Xbox pizza and it'll give you sort of. Status update. It's brilliant, at no point in the process of ordering a pizza does your heart rate have to rise, even a little. [LAUGH] You don't even have to have a fear of speaking to someone on the phone [CROSSTALK] I was gonna say, if only, if only there had been some kind of voice activated way of ordering a pizza. [LAUGH] But but yeah, so this, I mean, I, I dont get it. I mean, the one time I could imagine this would work, is when it's like Saturday night, and your coming home from the club, and you're all still drunk [UNKNOWN]. Someone's house and you just pile into the car and you're like driver, driver [CROSSTALK] [LAUGH]. That sounds amazing for everyone except the driver. That's you know that's sort of what I think is weird about this yeah because I think, I think there's a sort of decorum to be observed. In a, in a taxi or a like a, a private car that you privateer [LAUGH] because you know, it's, it's their, it's their office basically. Some place to work. Imagine someone like when your boss wanted to speak to you they came out to you just sat down and put their music on. [LAUGH] You know, like right. [INAUDIBLE] us, talk to. [CROSSTALK]. You are [CROSSTALK]. You know me [INAUDIBLE] worries. Yeah. I mean, also, I don't really want you know? I don't, I wouldn't, I would feel mean subjecting any Uber driver to my musical choices. [LAUGH]. Because I don't, you know? They all ready sort of know where I'm going to and from. Yeah. I don't need them knowing that all [INAUDIBLE] basically is the soundtracks for musicals. [LAUGH]. Frozen. And quite and Frozen and, you know, reasonably. [CROSSTALK]. [INAUDIBLE] along as well. [INAUDIBLE] rock and roll music. [LAUGH] Yeah, what about [CROSSTALK]? I mean if you listen to headphones. I have a problem with listening to headphones. Yeah. In, in, well not so much Black Ops but, in taxis like people where you've got a private driver. What is the etiquette when it comes to putting them in? And, 'cause you're making a big statement. I'm putting my headphones in, I am now blocking out you, do not talk to me, I don't wish to have a conversation with you on this journey, I want to listen to my music. That's quite a big statement to make. So what I'll tend to do, I'll get in, and the first few minutes I'll be like, oh, good morning. And where you're going, and all this stuff. Maybe they'll say, what are you doing? Or, what do you do? They've asked what I do. Mm. But then- What do you do? [LAUGH] [CROSSTALK] What are you doing? You can't do that in here. Don't touch my stereo, stop playing my music. what's that noise? My, my tech, my technique though is, is the first few, after the first few minutes I'll go, one. Ear piece in. Yeah Start listening and then, when the silence continues between me and the driver, then I know it's safe to put in the other one And you maintain eye contact in the rear view mirror while slowly inserting the other one [LAUGH] While he's talking Yeah [LAUGH]. I think one headphone to start with and then the second one goes in [CROSSTALK] I think you're over thinking this. I think it's okay. I mean taxi drivers must have looked at someone with there headphones and though oh [CROSSTALK] But sometimes we turn around and say things like which way do you wanna go mate? I don't care. Take us the quickest way. Yeah. Cross that bridge they have. Go over that one. Yeah. No, not into town. Over across the bridge. Sorry. Very specific [CROSSTALK] Absolutely, so [INAUDIBLE] I mean Uber is quite hot [INAUDIBLE] right? yes, they've had a pretty bad run recently Mm, Mm press wise Mm because of things like, stories about Uber executives making, jokes. About tracking journalists Mm Am, you know [CROSSTALK] to get dirt on them, they've reportedly recently fired the driver for twitting something slightly negative Mm they're investigating an executive who reportedly accessed the buzz feed, journalist's location without permission using a internal tool that's supposedly called God view. Which apparently lets employees watch account holders in real time and see their account history. So basically tracking their movements, yeah. Tracking their movements. yeah, so some pretty bad press. Hm. And that's not all, is it, Rich? No, in, in France there was the app offered to pay you with a sexy female driver. Whoa. Now they didn't actually rule that out because of the ,. The feedback quiz, was uniformly terrible. Which,. Yeah. [LAUGH] I guess you could probably see that coming. And also there's a bits a confusion Uber drivers are not technically employees, they're called partners. But they have to pay themselves for. petrol, insurance, car expenses, that kinda thing. And that's a bit of a raw deal, and it means that when rates change, they can end up taking home not very much money. It's all not quite, they, they're always quite precarious, like you say. They can- Yeah. They can be let go. Also, they've had a history of calling up rival services or other taxi apps and booking fake journeys. They kinda, they. Oh, it's childish. I, I think it's they say they kind of give off it's aura, sort of like lad's culture, like it's all a bit sort of hashtag banter. It is, it's no, yeah, banter. [CROSSTALK] I mean in a kind of, you know, like a slightly unsavory way. There was the, speaking of which, there was on their blog, actually, there, then Nick are, so there's a point in this to me they had sorta blog ,. Called it was about the walk of same, basically, and what they'd done was they correlated the data of, of people who had gone out and, and taken an uber on Saturday night and then taken another uber on Sunday morning from roughly the same location. Yeah. To sort of figure out who was, who had, and they were trying to work out, you know, they were looking at all these different sort of patterns and it was just a bit [INAUDIBLE] [CROSSTALK] Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So it stopped. Oh, well, earlier this week in the, the service itself. Doesn't have to be [UNKNOWN] it's a taxi firm you know and and it's really it's a good idea It's strange TTT Yeah it's frustrating that they were being so I also don't like when they have their they have their premium rates Surge pricing Surge pricing yeah when it goes rapidly but the best thing to do whenever you're trying to get a pick-up from and it says surge pricing you just drop that pin like around the corner on the road. Just to a quieter road. It's not on a main road. [INAUDIBLE] pricing always go. [CROSSTALK] Money saving Andy right there. Please don't track me or my family. [LAUGH] Your done. [CROSSTALK] [LAUGH] In fact just take some money you don't feel the same pain paying regular prices. I hate that. [LAUGH] I, nothing about you. You all look great. And thank you. [CROSSTALK] I'm quickly going to move on to some space news, if you don't mind. [CROSSTALK] What's going on in science? There is so much going on in space. Mm. Well first of all, actually Richard I'm going to hand it over to you to talk about. Dark matter. Let's do dark matter, yeah. So this is this, this mysterious stuff that no one really knows what it is or no one can see it. No one's ever seen it or touched it or knows where it comes from. But it makes up so much of our universe. But it's it's 80% of our universe because science has reckoned that's the only way of explaining that, the mass of the universe. We just can't see a lot of it. Then they call it dark matter, and no one quite knows what it is but there's a new way of of, of hunting for it. This is what scientists have thought about. And what they're planning to do is, they're using GPS satellites. So GPS satellites which, they're above Earth, you know, helping us to find our way on our phones and all that and that kind of thing. Which is fantastic. And but one thing that you kind of forget is even though they're above the Earth. And you sort of think about those being they're in one place. The Earth is actually flying through space pretty fast. Which means so are these satellites. So as they're whooshing through space. That potentially passing through these a potentially source of dark matter which these kind of like a, a cracks in quantum fields of the universe. Which make time go a bit weird. So, what happen as these satellites whooshed through theses theses. Cracks were potentially dark matter. They loose minutes Then, then they wake up they got a cast on their leg [CROSSTALK]. Later. Exactly. Yeah, the traffic going in that [UNKNOWN] [LAUGH] Yeah. [UNKNOWN] even though that's happening. So yeah, it's kind of a [UNKNOWN] And so they're, they're thinking that maybe they'll be able to see the signature of dark matter, so potentially it's a way of finding dark matter, which is quite interesting. I mean, there's a lot of lot of different theories about dark matter and ,. For example they reckon that something might come from something called MACHOs, which is Massive Astrophysical Compact Halo Objects. Or possibly WIMPs, which is Weekly Interactive Massive Particles. So they, I love how scientists can have a sense of humour about this [LAUGH] Yeah [CROSSTALK] Lucky that those two those acronyms matched up so well [CROSSTALK]. How that worked out. That it was very interesting the large Hadren Collider and than [CROSSTALK] Yea, yea they have to do that in a lot of deep places. In fact there's the Bulby one of the deepest minds in Europe. Okay And it's about four a 4,600 feet deep in this mind where they are researching and looking for dark mater because there so little. Background radiation down there. So we're mining the dark matter part of the Earth. [CROSSTALK] They are. [CROSSTALK] I really want to go down, so if you're listening, I want to come down with my camera. Just go an say hi, see what you're up to. I see. How. [CROSSTALK] And what if they hit the rich team of dark matter and it floods up all the way to your waist. Well. Into your legs. I don't know. I'm wondering if I can take photos of it. Is it dark? I presume it's like trying to take photos of black light or, I presume what'll happen is if they do hit a stream of dark matter is everyone will come out with evil goatee beards and they'll all be evil. [LAUGH] Yeah, bo-ha-ha-ha. Or they'll have a mole on their. So, I mean, four thousand six hundred feet, that's a long way down. How long would that take to fall? [LAUGH] That's the key question there. I did look this up, cuz you asked me this before. Yeah. And, the only figure i can come up with is 15 seconds, but that is falling at terminal velocity. Yeah. And of course, you wouldn't fall at terminal velocity the entire time. And,- Well, if it's deeper, wouldn't gravity be a little bit stronger near the bottom? So maybe. Probably, probably [CROSSTALK] [LAUGH] Christine's 15 seconds before her that several. Well, that, that's something about that. A but it wouldn't hurt until right at the end so [LAUGH] When you hit the dark matter. Yea, when you fall into it with a big splash. [LAUGH] Try to get that out. And the we actually found some stuff. I don't mean to say we. Some scientist have actually found, some a they can't find the dark matter. But they have found some other stuff. They have found loads of stuff. Oh, I know what you're talking about. [LAUGH] I'm glad someone does. Yeah. Yeah. You're talking about the comment. I am talking about the comment. Sweet. I remember. I remember what I wrote [UNKNOWN] [UNKNOWN] we talked about last week.>> Yes. We have been talking about, the comment and course the filet, probe that's being landed on the comments and comments not coming. It's sound organic matter, right? [LAUGH] It's sound, it's sound organic matter on the stomach. Organic matter. Life forms essentially in, in a way,. Wow. Aliens. In a way. Aliens, yes. I think there's a lot of that kind of, in a way. [LAUGH] [LAUGH] Aliens, but. In a sense. [CROSSTALK] Oh, really? Why not. Alien But it is lets jump to conclusions. It's it's more fun this way. So, I'm gonna to the conclusion right now and say we have found aliens outside of Earth. That is pretty exciting and even to the extent that the theory of all life on Earth arrived initially on a comet. Hm This actually give that argument [CROSSTALK]. On the hm hm Hm hm interesting. Scientist get looking into that please. I'm sure they already are. The question is though, have they, they actually found marine life, because then it would be a fish. [LAUGH] Anyway, I think [INAUDIBLE] come back down to us with a, with a bump in the big picture. [MUSIC] Nokia used to be the biggest phone manufacturer in the world, but those days are long gone. The phone business sold to Microsoft and the Nokia name disappearing from phones. Except the folks left behind aren't taking it lying down and the Nokia name is being resurrected on a new tablet. An Android tablet, no less. After betting big on Windows phone Nokia has turned to Google for the N1. Coming in at early 2015 it's an intel powered 7.9 inch tablet running Android Lollipop with Nokia's own custom Zed launcher interface on top. Which lets you launch an app by swiping the first letter of the name with your finger. And it's one of the first devices to use USB type C so you can stick the charging cable in whichever way. Round you like. Now, Andy, the hardware seems pretty decent, right? It doesn't seem too bad? It does, yeah, it's got some it's got some decent, decent specs, it's 8, 7.9 inches, got quite a high res screen, the Intel chip should be fairly speedy. It's actually very similar to the [UNKNOWN] that we're talking about at the beginning of the show. Hm, Typically it looks quite a lot like an iPad Mini. Hm. It's got a very, very similar design, which, you know. I see. Is not too bad. It looks nice. And it's very similar [CROSSTALK]. But then I mean, so also usual, you've got, use the zed launcher, which is available for lots of Android devices. Yeah, so you can get the beta now of the non-key zed launcher, at the Google Play store, Good. So if you're curious to know how it works you can trot along and download that and give it a go. Yep. It's. It's. Say it. It's okay. Is super cheap, right? How much does the tablet cost? So the tablet. You'll be able to get it for, I believe, $250 so what which I'm seeing on the screen now. Yes. [CROSSTALK] So so, you know, around to what? 200 pound mark. Per. . Yeah. If, if we get in the UK. Yeah. Obviously you know, tax and such is gonna, is gonna very that quite a bit. Do you guys want to know what people have been saying about, about this? Oh, absolutely, yeah, definitely. What are reader, and listeners, and viewers of CNET saying? Osmond_Chez says, finally Nokia is back in the game. It's like when Lionel Richie tries to come back and no one cared. [LAUGH] Harsh words Hato, harsh words. Mike Debonowski says, another one for the tablet trash heap. Ooh, more harsh words. Mm-hm. Poor [INAUDIBLE] And, a human being says, I'm excited about this. The only thing I have ever liked about Apple is the build quality. [INAUDIBLE] Otherwise, iOS and Apple internals are mediocre. Nokia is known for using great internals and great build quality. Combine these two with the power of Android and you have a winner>>Well that's [UNKNOWN] to see a positive reaction. Yea Well, I, I seem to be [UNKNOWN] Well yea. Nokia's sort of gambling with their, their good reputation with potentially cheap and nasty things they've just bought and slapped their name on. Hm. But, if you see it from Nokia's point of view, Yeah. It's only just shed itself of this massive failing phone business. Yeah. So, you know, it kind of must be liberating for the Nokia that's left, which has sort of entered things like maps, and phone [UNKNOWN] and [CROSSTALK] and that kind of thing. Other stuff, and I think they've they've been doing alright. In the meantime Nokia does have history of weird bold moves as well. And to outsiders, Nokia has the Nokia brand value. So, so, we're like oh, Nokia's making a tablet, that would be great, cuz Nokia makes great things. But, to them, to the people actually making this, to Nokia, that was never them. They've not been doing that. That was just basically a, another company. Yeah. So apart from anything else, it's not like they really had the option to make it themselves and like. Yeah. That bit that sort of makes stuff, and its, its phones and devices and things, is gone. So Nokia wants to make a tablet with. Which it does, you know this is. This seems like a reasonable move. because if it did try and make it itself theres not. Is there really a guarantee that it'd be good because. Nokia has mad hubs there before yeah. It's got the 25/20 which is. It's a Windows 8 a tablet which we saw last year,. We saw I don't think anyone really seen one in a while. I've never seen one in a while. I've review one. But I've not see anyone actually buy one. And before that it had the, the a M800 I believe. [CROSSTALK] 2007. And on a tiny PDA, but even like, even those that wouldn't have been the bit Nokia that we're talking about, I guess. So, what do you think, like Android tablet [UNKNOWN]? Well, increasingly companies aren't making money from Android. Android phones. Yep. This much we know. Mm-hm. And increasingly, Apple isn't making as much money as it used to from tablets. Yep. So why you would put those together and make an Android tablet, I am not sure. Yeah. But good luck to them. [LAUGH] You know, but you know. Like Nokia is- Best of luck, guys. We, we don't know sort of like. They're not kind of, it's, it's not like when Nokia was primarily a devices company. It's not like, sort of betting the farm on this one big product. Yeah. This is the kind of thing where like, lots of phone have, you know, have micro SD card slots and they normally say something if you read the fine print like up to [CROSSTALK] Yeah. or up to 62. 64 gig or something [INAUDIBLE] Andy, you had two HTC phones that were [INAUDIBLE] Yeah, I mean, for like, the HTC 1MA being the flagship and that can take cards I think up to 128 gig but at least 64, whereas the Desire 501 that I've got is running basically on the same software, but I can only take it up to. A up to 32 gig or maybe even less. A so yea I mean all have micro sd card slots. So, the hardware is there to except it. So, I guess it, it have to be an software issue. Yeah. We don't know exactly know what the reason is behind this and whether it's down to shear laziness that they haven't that the company haven't. Brought in the ability for them to accept bigger cards or whether that's intentional to make, maybe, the budget phones more limited. Which then. In a small way. In a small way. Therefore giving you a reason to, I wouldn't put it that way. get a bigger phone with the bigger capacity. David also says, why are Apple updates not called iPatches?
