>> Josh Goldman: Hi, I'm Josh Goldman, Senior Editor for CNET reviews and this is the Nikon Coolpix S220. It's a 10 megapixel camera with a 3X zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD on back. Very basic point and shoot and as you can see it's pretty small. It's barely more than half an inch thick and weighs only 4 ounces. It's available in 6 colors too, with names like worm silver and smooth magenta. This one here is the cobalt blue version. The controls and interface are straight forward and easy to master. Shooting modes are geared toward entry level snap shooters with a programmable auto mode, scene modes and an auto scene selector option which will chose the appropriate scene mode that matches closest to what you're shooting. There's also a very basic VGA movie mode. The S220 sells for less than $150 and its performance photo quality is typical of budget, ultra compact cameras; not all that good. However this camera is ideal for people wanting a better experience than using a camera phone or other mobile device as their primary camera. So anyone that is more interested in sharing photos online than making prints, posting shots to Facebook or Twitter will find the S220 is adequate for doing that and since it's so small and light you can take it with you anywhere.
