>> Hi, I'm Will Greenwald assistant veteran of CNET.com and these are the Nikon Coolpix L10, L11, and L12 digital cameras. These are the budget line of Nikon digital cameras and as such they're not very expensive, not very complicated and doesn't have a whole lot of features. The L10 is at the bottom of the pack. It has a five mega pixel sensor which is pretty rare on digital cameras these days and it has a pretty small two inch LCD screen. Once again, pretty much the low end of what you'd expect on any digital camera. However, it does take pretty descent pictures if you don't mind only having five mega pixels to work with. Next on the list is the Coolpix L11. Now, this is a six mega pixel sensor and it has a two and a half inch LCD which means you have more room to work with all around both in framing your shot and when you finally have your shot. Now on the high end is the Coolpix L12. This is a seven mega pixel sensor and the same two and a half inch LCD as the L11. Now, it also has a few extra bells and whistles that these two don't have. It features Nikons vibrational reduction which is a mode that boosts the shutter speed and the ISO sensitivity to help reduce shake and blur in your photos. All three L series cameras are automated. Now the nice feature all these cameras have which is this that we are starting to see on low end budget cameras is face detection. You can actually take photos of people, you can frame portraits, and the camera will detect the face and frame it in a little box and adjust focus and exposure to reflect that face. These are three good models to go with if you just want an inexpensive simple digital camera and don't want to spend a lot of money for it.
