Netflix woke up to a not-so-nice surprise after discovering its official Twitter account had been compromised.
A tweet reading, quote, hey, it's OurMine.
Don't worry we are just testing your security, contact us to tell you more about that, unquote, was posted to the Netflix Twitter account, along with the group's email address.
Self-described white-hat hacker group OurMine claimed responsibility for the hack, posting that tweet from the official Netflix Twitter account to show people that it was in fact them that had broken in.
Netflix removed the tweets quickly after the hack went public and says, quote, the compromise was limited to a U.S. Twitter account and has been resolved, unquote.
As for ourmine, they claim to want to upgrade security for it's target by pointing out security flaws without exploiting them.
The group also hacked into Marvel's official Twitter account, as well as, verified accounts for some of Marvel's most favorite Avengers, including Tony Stark and Captain America.
The messages posted on the accounts were the same or similar to the message.
Posted to the official Netflix twitter account.
This isn't OurMine's first time at the hacking rodeo though.
They have also taken credit for hack on very high profile tech target including Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
