Neofect Smart Balance is like Dance Dance Revolution for leg rehab
So, it might look like I'm playing a weird version of Dance, Dance Revolution.
But actually what I'm on is called the Neofect Smart Connect.
And it involves this pad and this video game here.
And it's designed for people who have suffered a stroke rehabilitate the lower part of their body, their legs and their balance.
You wear this and helps guide your balance.
So if I'm playing a game with an airplane, it tracks where there is.
Right now, I'm just gonna try to match these steps here.
And the idea is over time, this becomes more and more challenging.
It uses software AI to see what my results are and make it more difficult next time.
I also like the graphics, it kinda looks like my high school jazz This quintet I have, called the Slow Peas, great name for a jazz band.
All right, so here again I'm just trying to step on the footprints.
Now, this is another product from Knee Effect.
We've seen some of there other rehab products before.
The Knee Effect Mono, and also their smart glove.
It's used for rehabilitating people's upper bodies and lower bodies but this is the first product they ever launched that gamefies physical therapy for the lower body.
This isn't something you're necessarily gonna but it's gonna be for clinics and for therapists.
In fact right now it's going through clinical trials in the US and it will be launched to clinics somewhere between February and March is what I am told.
What's also neat about this is there's an app called Neil feck connect that uses this product as well as some of their other products and has all the gamification there.
later on this year anyone's going to be able to use new effect connect on their iPhone or Android phone whether or not you have the device or not.
It might help you do stuff like lift the glass up or stuff like that.
We're here turning invisible therapy into some fun and engaging means the user can get more out of it and have more development.
Now what's also unique is the more I di this, the software itself is gonna make this more and more challenging for me.
So it's gonna judge it in one set here.
Also these results that we see at the other sessions are stored locally on the device.
For the therapist can access it so if they see I'm improving quite a bit, they might assign me some different movements of different apps to play next time.
So as far as the Neofect, smart balance, this is gonna be hitting clinics sometime this spring may be February March, and it might come into your home Sunday later this year, as far as the Neofect.
You'll find that on the iPhone and Android later this year.
But if you currently have a Neofect device, you probably already have it and are using it for therapy.
But this is one of the reasons we love CS.
Hey, if you liked hearing about the Neofect Smart Balance and wanna hear more about CS, make sure you click subscribe on our CNET YouTube channel.
Until next time, I got another round to do, I got to make up, I did not do too well.
