Intel has a new high-end range of processors it calls The X-series.
The X stands for, you guessed it, extreme.
Because it's not for your average computer user.
With heavy duty processing power this is aimed at professional gamers and people who are doing big video projects as well as other content creators.
And anyone with the dream of running multiple power hungry applications at once without melting the computer.
The X series chips will come in a range of sizes from 4 cores, to 10 cores, and Intel is promising options that go up to 18 cores in the future.
And since you won't be seeing this in a typical family PC, it comes at an extreme p.rice The court ship is going to cost $2000, Intel made the announcement during the computex computer export in Taipei this week where the company also demoed some other feature products including a computer that fits in your wallet.
The compute card is the size of a credit card, all you need is a monitor Intel sees a future where you could just pop it into different devices, like a TV or your car to set up a custom entertainment experience or take your work on the go.
