Hi, I'm Scott Stein, senior editor at CNET.com and behind me is a massive 92-inch 3D DLP television by Mitsubishi.
We're at the CEA Line Show in New York.
Now, why exactly do you need a 92-inch television?
Why not?
Well, I mean, you can get a 100+ inch plasma for tens of thousands of dollars.
The idea here is this only costs $6000 which is more human affordable, if you've got the money to spend on a massive wall screen television.
This also comes with a 16-speaker sound bar beneath which is a kinda nice add for people who wanna be able to add a little extra sound oomph, and these active-shutter 3D glasses work via an IR transmitter that's built into the TV so you don't have to worry about any additional box or aiming it in any particular direction.
The 3D looks good and, heck, it's 92 inches, so, it could be kind of fun for playing games.
Speaking of which, DLP does have a slightly faster response time than other TV technologies, so that's worth considering.
It is a larger frame in the back, 22 inches deep, so it's not wafer thin, but that comes because it's rear-projection DLP technology and then again, when you're saving that much money, it could be worth it for you.
