At the companies build 2018 developers conference Microsoft refocused its mobile strategy to an app for other mobile platforms like iOS and Android. It's all in an effort for Windows 10 users to use the operating system to interact with their phones. Android users will also be able to use a Microsoft Launcher down the road. A new Google platform called Android Things is now open to all developers. The software lets hardware manufacturers let their devices work with Internet of Things Products, and offers back end and security support. A number of Android Things products are expected by the end of the summer. And finally, according to Recode, two major music labels have sold off large chunks of their stakes in Spotify. Last week Sony sold half of its shares, and now Warner Music Group says it has gotten rid of 75% of its equity as well. This comes on the hills of Spotify going public which it did last month and evaluation of $30 billion.
