If you're thinking of buying a larger iPhone just so you don't have to squint at the screen to read the texts, here's an easy way to make the universal font size larger in iOS 8. Tap Settings, Display & Brightness, and Text Size.
You can use the slider to make the text as large as you need.
For an extra punch, you can tap back into Display & Brightness and enable the Bold option.
You'll need to reset your phone but once you do your texts will stand out a little bit better.
So that's all there is to it.
