>> Yahoo and Google break up. Street Fighter IV gets delayed and we've got power tool technology to show you. It's Thursday, November 6, I'm Natali Del Conte and it's time to get Loaded. ^M00:00:10 [ Music ] ^M00:00:14 >> Yahoo and Google have decided to scrap their advertising agreement altogether. The two companies held off on this deal for four months and just revised the agreement earlier this week. Department of Justice regulators were concerned that the deal would reduce competition, letting Google control most of the online search business. Google says it risks legal battles with the DOJ and potential damage to its relationship with advertising partners and will therefore not follow through with the agreement. You gotta feel sorry for Yahoo here. This deal was their saving grace after they couldn't work things out with Microsoft. AOL, Apple, anyone? We're running out of options here. Dash Navigation has decided that it is a software company instead of a hardware company. This is an interesting move from a company that was pretty revolutionary in the GPS market. Dash makes a GPS system that networks with other Dash systems. Well now they will license that technology to other GPS hardware company such as TomTom or Garmin or even mobile phone manufacturers. This is smart considering that the stand-alone GPS devices likely gonna be dated in a few years. Anyway, given that the systems are built-in to phones and cars these days. We're not just into reporting on high tech gadgets and gizmos here at Loaded. Last week, we got to demo some cool new outdoorsy technology from Husqvarna. Take a look. We are invited to look at some outdoor power equipment by Husqvarna, so we jumped at the chance. Of course it's not a computer or cell phones. It's cooler. This is a mower that I'm sitting on, but we're also gonna see some chainsaw and a robotic lawnmower. ^M00:01:42 [ Music ] ^M00:01:49 >> Right here we're gonna see some -- these are our most innovative products and a lot of products that we're focused on now is, as far as they have leaving less impact in the environment, sort of see some of those today too. This is our latest landowner zero-turn. It is what we call the LSZ54-22. It's a 54-inch cut at a 22-horsepower of what we call the endurance engine and it's actually custom-designed just for us for our very high quality engine. You can turn it on and then go back the other way, so great for productivity. >> Now what was your experience with that mower? >> Purrs like a kitten. >> Oh, my god. >> This is the solar powered robotic lawnmower. And what I really wanna know before anything else is can it mow straight line. >> Well, it actually mows in a random pattern. So we put it out in to your lawn. It will randomly roam the yard and it will get to every point in the lawn over the course of about a week. So it's random pattern, but it gets everywhere. Your lawn always looks like it's been cut. It is solar hybrid, which means that it works off some power from the sun and some power from the electrical supply from the house. There's no gas or emission or any of that kind of thing. The mower will back out when you tells it to. Basically you program it, you know for any day of the week, or you know certain hours of the day. It backs out, it goes and mows. When it needs to recharge it comes home on its own. It charges itself back up again and it goes back out again. ^M00:03:06 [ Music ] ^M00:03:08 >> This is our new line of lawnmower and chainsaw. Of course it's a Husqvarna it has all of the safety features. The additional feature on this one is, it has a chain break from the rear which adds a level of safety to the chainsaw for the person who is not so experienced or for the [inaudible] that wants a little bit higher level of safety. This is all the 445 features of our patented export technology which reduces emission by up to 60% and reduces fuel consumption by 20%. This is a new line from Husqvarna and ready for retail in the US right now. ^M00:03:43 [ Music ] ^M00:03:49 >> All the outdoor high tech tools you just saw are available now. MySpace launched Profile 2.0 this week which lets users customize their profiles with new themes and drag and drop features. You have to opt in to the new profiles for now and we're not exactly sure when it will officially be launched. The MySpace blog points out that users are no longer limited to a narrow left column and a wider right column. Thank goodness because that was really oppressive. I kind of use my space. Video games sales are at a record high in the UK. Reuters reports that the video gaming industry oversees as expected to outsell any other form of entertainment this year. A recent study predicted that the gaming market in the UK would grow 42% valuing it at a 4.64 billion pounds outselling music and video sales. The music industry has seen an increase in digital downloads, but issues like piracy, price deflation and decline in physical CD sales have caused profits to suffer. If you want Street Fighter IV, you gotta move to Japan for now at least. The game will launch in Japan in February, but we still don't have a North American release date just yet. However, Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will come out this month on Xbox Live and the PlayStation, so that should keep you satisfied until the Japanese version hits the Torrent. Those are all your headlines for today and that wraps up your week of getting loaded. Next week, I'll be bringing Loaded to you from San Francisco, so tune in for that. If you've missed any episodes this week, be sure to tune in at loaded.cnettv.com. Thank you for watching. I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV and you've just been Loaded. ^M00:05:21 [ Music ]
