>> Joost lets you watch video on the iPhone. Fuji announces a digital version of the Polaroid camera. And why you should always be wearing clean underwear when traveling abroad. It's Cyber Monday, December 1, I'm Natali Del Conte and it's time to get Loaded. ^M00:00:13 [ Music ] ^M00:00:18 >> Joost is back in the online video game with an iPhone app. Most of us stopped caring about Joost a long time ago. If you never cared about Joost, it was a peer-to-peer client that played online video, but it was inherently flawed because it was originally a download and Joost was never as easy and seamless as Hulu. Well now, the company has a mobile application for iPhone that lets users watch any video for free. The only drawback is that it doesn't work with 3G. You have to be on a Wi-Fi network. Usually, when I have a Wi-Fi network available though, I have my laptop somewhere nearby in which case I don't need a mobile streaming service. Hopefully they'll add either 3G or EDGE support for streaming. Meanwhile, I'm gonna say that this is still the best streaming video content I've seen so far for iPhone. Another company jumping on the mobile application bandwagon is the Food Network. I wish it were a streaming application, but it's not. It's just a mobile version of the company's site. If you go to mobile.foodnetwork.com you can find videos, but they play in your phone's browser. You can also search recipes from the site, but I've always had a hard time searching by specific shows on Food Network. So if you wanna make something specific by Giada it will be harder to find that recipe from Food Network Mobile. For that you can always just search my Del.icio.us page actually I have most of her best ones hugged anyway. Here's a camera to consider for your holiday list, the Fuji Instax Mini. This camera is a throwback to the 80's because it's essentially a digital version of the Polaroid. You take a picture and then the camera just prints it right out. The camera costs $100, weighs in at 320-grams, uses a 16-millimeter lens, a low-light flash and an electronic shutter. It also has a little mirror for photographing yourself if you're the sort of person who's prone to do that like Mark Licea. >> Hey... >> The prints are about the size of a credit card and you can buy extra packs of film that it prints out on for about $25. Now I know this sounds silly, but I actually do think it will be a hit. My aunt was a big fan of the Polaroid and I can definitely see her kind getting excited about this and by her kind I mean people who thought as kids. Yahoo is trying to make a game out of improving video search. The company launched Video Tag Game last week. It's a lot like Google's image labeler game, which lets you label photograph with some other users to see how many tags you can match up. Yahoo's game encourages participants to tag sections within a video. >> Forces, we cannot track $2.3 trillion. >> To play, you sign in with your Yahoo ID and go to a video which at least three other people are watching at the same time. You start tagging as the video plays and every time your tag matches someone else's you get points. When the video is over, you get to watch it again and see everyone's tags. These games are always fun because you're playing with strangers and doing a good deed by helping the web become more searchable, but I have to admit, I always lose interest in these things after a few days. You can find it yourself at sandbox.yahoo.com/VideoTagGame. Canadians can no longer receive twitter messages as a text message. Twitter cuts this feature in the UK a few months ago and now Canadians are getting the same restrictions. Apparently this service is just too expensive for twitter to support in Canada, so users there will either have to use a mobile application or stick to the Web to receive their twitters. They can still send them out, however to 21212. This is why your Mom always told you to wear clean underwear. In Germany, when you go through airport security, you may have to walk through a full-body screening device that produces images showing passengers naked. These scanners are just starting to be tested out, but if you are one of the unlucky ones to get to try it, it will show security officials whether or not you are carrying explosives or weapons on your person. Actually, do think it will be able to see through your underwear, so it won't really matter if they are clean or not, although I still suggest you listen to your mother on that one. Those are all your headlines for today, thank you for watching. I will see you tomorrow. I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV and you've just been Loaded. ^M00:04:03 [ Music ]
