>> We're all recovering from our iPhone hang-overs. A new Xbox is about to hit shelves and Disney opens its vaults for princesses and Blu-ray. It's Monday, July 14, I'm Natali Del Conte coming to you from my brand new set and it's time to get Loaded. ^M00:00:13 [ Music ] ^M00:00:15 >> I think I speak for the majority of media when I say that we've all got iPhone hang-over. I'm glad the launch has come and gone, but nevertheless, here's some hair of the dog for you. More iPhone news. I wasn't planning on upgrading my older iPhone, but I got caught-up in the madness and found myself reaching for my credit card. I bought the 16-gig White version, but I experienced the same connectile dysfunction that the rest of the iTunes community did -- that was a mess and embarrassing for Apple. I fear it exposes an over dependence on iTunes though. iTunes was originally a music organizing software. Now it organizes TV, video, Podcast, music and your phone number -- what do you think of that? I wanna hear from you at loaded@cnet.com. The rumors about the Xbox were correct. This weekend Microsoft announced a new 60-gig version of the console, 3 times the amount of storage the original console had. The 60-gig version is $349, while the 20-gig remains at the lower price of $299. It will be available on August. How about some non-iPhone mobile news. AT&T is now carrying the Palm Centro for $69 rather than $99 -- that's really cheap for a smartphone. I used one for a few months last year and I really liked it, but it's only for those of us with small hands. The LG Chocolate 3 was just released on Sunday. Verizon released it a day earlier than anticipated. This is the first clam shell or flip phone from the Chocolate line and we're expecting a review here on CNET shortly. Rumors are flying about the BlackBerry Thunder, which is BlackBerry's 3G Touch screen phone that we've all been waiting for. Gizmodo said that it's not gonna be called the Thunder after all, but rather the BlackBerry Storm -- whatever, it's still a weather-related name. Gizmodo is also saying that it will not be delayed like we originally thought, but still on target for a Q3 release. The YouTube-Viacom suit is making waves again and the $1 Billion law suit that I cannot believe is still going on. Viacom has asked Google for User logs from it's own employees. Viacom wants to know which YouTube employees uploaded and watched copyright protected video. Of course Google is claiming that this is privileged information and they don't like to hand-over user data, which is their usual MO. However, it isn't surprising that Viacom would request this. They are trying to prove that YouTube did not do its due diligence in preventing copyright videos from being illegally uploaded to the site. This information would help prove their case. eBay has partnered up with Buy.com to sell books, DVDs and electronics. eBay will now sell Buy.com goods in its listings, but not all eBayer are happy with this. Smaller sellers feel as though its unfair competition for them, which it is. Poor eBay, just can't win for trying these days. Disney opens its vaults again. This time to release Sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray. This Blu-ray edition will support new Internet-enabled and interactive functions on the Blu-ray live format. Viewers will be able to watch the film intended with people on Laptops or cell phones, as well as chat with them about it. This seems like a lot of interactivity for a movie that's been out for 50 years. What is there to chat about? I mean, I know we all wanna be princesses, but long can you talk about that on instant message. The John Madden video game is almost 20 years old if you can believe that and EA is celebrating with a few new features. First stop, Rock Band, which is also an EA game will feature music from Madden, which you can download and perform. The songs will also be available on iTunes in case you want some aggressive ring tones or workout music. The new game will also have exclusive footage from the classic game and the new NFL Head Coach game, which won't come out until three weeks after the games release date, which is August 12. I know you don't wanna talk about Yahoo and Microsoft, but there is news, so let's do this. I saved it for last on purpose. Yahoo publicly rejected a joint proposal by Microsoft and Carl Icahn, the Yahoo investor that's been a huge store on their side these days. The proposal was for a restructuring of Yahoo and it was made on Friday, while we were all busy freaking out about Apple. Yahoo rejected the bid based on their recent deal with Google in addition to the fact that they don't want their board restructured. So again from Yahoo, no means no. Before I sign off, I wanna congratulate 20-year old Nathan Schwartz. He is the newest LG Text Messaging champion and winner of $50,000. Schwartz texted the sentence you see here on the screen in 50 seconds without errors -- that's impressive. Last year the winner had to text Supercalifragilisticexpialidoucious! Thank goodness for QWERTY keyboard. Those are all your headlines for today, but I will be back tomorrow with more, thank you for watching. I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV and you've just been Loaded. ^M00:04:18 [ Music ]
