>> Hi everyone, I'm Jeff Bakalar here at CNET.com and I'm here today with the LG LHT764. The 764 is a five disc DVD changer and it can upscale all your DVD's to 720p or 1080i via the HDMI output it has. It has a line in and a USB port in for playing photos, movies and any kind of audio file you might have. A word on movies, it does play DivX files. So any video file you have that's encoded with DivX it'll play. The 764 has an optional iPod input port. It also comes with this iPod cable that allows you to just hook up your dock iPod and put it right into the unit, which is really nice. Also it has an XM port, which will work with any XM antenna or receiver. On the front of the 764 you have all of the buttons for functionality. There's a touch wheel for volume. Don't recommend using the touch wheel because it doesn't really work that well. Don't really recommend using any of the buttons on the front display. If you want to control the receiver you should be using the included remote. As far as sound goes the 764 didn't perform as well as we had hoped. The speakers weren't really able to give a wide range of sound like some other units we've tested in the past. Another word, the subwoofer is not really up to par at all and it has a very hard time handling deep base. Overall the 764 really didn't perform as well as we would have liked in regards to sound but it does have enough features to warrant a purchase and it comes at an affordable price. I'm Jeff Bakalar and this has been the LG LHT764.
