So I'm here at CES taking a look at the LG HomeBrew.
Apparently, LG's taking up a new hobby and that is brewing beer.
This is a capsule based brewing system.
How it works is, you get a box filled with prepackaged ingredients.
You put the ingredients into the various containers, just like you would with a Keurig.
These supplemental ingredients go into this smaller container here.
You got a big container of wort that goes into this giant canister thing there.
You put everything in, you hit start using the little display, and then it whirls into action and makes you some beer.
Here's the catch, you don't get to drink it right away.
It's using a genuine This is kind of a good thing but you're going to have to wait 2 weeks before you actually get to drink once its ready you pull the lever you pour yourself a nice beer and you kick back and relax but dont think of it like instant beer that said I am still a little worried about the prepackaged ingredient element here your sure.
Shipping all of things in these containers including a giant container of [INAUDIBLE].
And I would worry a little bit about quality.
Right now to start the Capsule is coming with five different ingredients packs.
There are in American IPA and America Pale Ale and English Stout, a Belgium Witbier and a Czech Pilsner.
You also are gonna need to add water over here and while your beer is fermenting during that two weeks, It should be able to precisely control the temperature which is good.
If you've ever home-brewed it can get infected, if your beer gets a little off temp during the process.
That said, I'm really intrigued about a push button brewer, and I definitely want to Give the final results a try.
So LG hasn't declared a price for this thing yet, or a price for the capsules.
We should know that later in the year as it's due out at the end of this calendar year.
