[ Music ] ^M00:00:03 [ Background Music ] >> David Katzmaier, Senior Editor from cnet dot com here. I'm with the LG 47LG60. It's a 47-inch LCD flat panel HDTV. It's one of LG's higher-end models this year and as you can see the real takeaway from this one is it's got a big hole in the frame right below the picture. There's the circular hole here. LG plugged the hole with a piece of plexiglass bearing their logo, but you can still see through it. And if you hang it on the wall, you can see your wallpaper right through that hole. Around the back you'll find another nice design. Tweak, there is a big swat of red right on the back of this TV. The entire backside of the TV is red, and so if you do happen to put the TV in a position where people can see the back and you do like red, again this is a great TV for you. Around the bottom of the stand is a little red accent here and the stand itself is unusually chrome colored. Of course, there's a nice swivel and all things considered this is one of the more uniquely designed sets we've ever seen. Going to the feature section is what I've talked about including 2 expert modes that allow you to go ahead and adjust the color temperature on 2 separate schemes, a 2-point and even a full on 10-point iris [phonetic] scheme that really allows to zero on the color temperature. Of course if you do that, you're gonna need to be an expert with a lot of nice equipment, but still it's nice to have those adjustments. Other features include 3 HDMI inputs on the back panel here and a fourth HDMI input along the side. The picture quality of this LG was a little bit less impressive than we expected it. Its black levels weren't very deep. It couldn't produce those nice deep dark blacks that we see on a lot of the better LCD and plasma TV's we've tested. Of course that lends a lot of the dark scenes less realism and makes the colors a little bit less punchy. On the flip side it does have relatively accurate colors after it's been adjusted in 120 Hertz. De-judder processing [background music] on this TV perform relatively well and are not quite as good as the Sony and Samsung that we tested earlier. That's a quick look at the LG 47LG60, and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:52 [ Music ]
