LaMetric's pixelated LED wall panels shine at CES 2019
Hey smart home fans, I'm here at the Tech West show for it's CES 2019 to show you the new Metric Sky wall panels.
These are really cool LED color changing wall panels from the makers of this connected clock that came out about six years ago on Crowd Funding.
Now, they're taking the idea behind that product of displaying notifications in a pixellated, kinda fun fashion, And putting that on your walls, with these decorative light panels.
They're triangular in shape, right triangles, so you can put two together to make a square.
And they have these little sectioned-off zones of color that are each right triangles themselves.
They combine to make squares too, which lets you do pixellated effects.
Like that Christmas tree right there, or other things, like you would see on the clock.
Your Instagram follower count, a Facebook notification, things like that.
Another really cool thing about that pixellated design is that it lets the metrics show a unique color code during setup.
So you put the panels on your wall, and then you display a code like this.
That code can be scanned on your phone's camera and then instantly it will import the position and the arrangement of your design right into your phone.
It's a very neat neat trick for getting it right in the app.
Price is not set yet.
They're still finalizing the details, and working out how exactly they're going to sell these things, and where, and for how much, but when we know that we'll share it with you.
They look pretty striking, and I think they are in a position to give Nanoleaf, which already has color changing panels like this, a run for its money when they come out in December.
Nanoleaf can't shut notifications and doesn't have the I think I think that probably the only thing that would sort of compare that in terms of novelty of design would be this bad boy right here, which I'll push forward.
This is the Acer Predator Triton 900 and you can see here.
It's got this sort of.
