>> Hello. My name is Dong Ngo and welcome to the First Look of NAS server. I have something here that is definitely worth looking at, the LaCie Network Space 2 NAS server. Like most of the LaCie product, this is supposedly designed by a known designer, and a few things special about this device. First of all, it has the front blue line. You don't see it here because, you know, it's too far from surface, and the light is designed to shine on the surface. So which mine the shape of the light beam would change depend on how far it is from the surface. Like this. You can see here. That's true state of the light. If it's solid like this, this means the device is actually powered on and ready. If you see it's flashing, this mean the hard drive inside is working. The second thing special about this device is the fact that it has four feet to keep it off the ground, and the bottom has a lot of holes through which you can see the hard drive inside. This is a very good ventilation system to keep the device from overheating, and it can also work as an external hard drive by having a type B USB port here, and it can work as an external hard drive. Of course the device can only work as an external hard drive or a NAS at a time, not both. When being used in NAS, you can use a front USB port here to host another printer or USB storage device here. Performance-wise, the NAS did okay in our test. All in all, this is a simple NAS server for home user. Our fashion buffs will probably like it for how it looks and the cool blue light, where many other will find it lacking in both performance and features. Once again, my name is Dong Ngo, and this has been the First Look at the LaCie Network Space 2 NAS server. Thank you for watching.
