>> Hi I'm David Katzmaier, senior editor from CNET dot com and I'm sitting next to the HP LC 4776N. This is a 47 inch 1080P LCD TV. For a high end TV we were a little bit disappointed by the HP's picture quality however. When we took it to the lab we noticed that it's blacks weren't quite as deep as those produced by a lot of LCD and plasma TV's. Also the color was relatively inaccurate for a TV like this. And the main problem was we couldn't really adjust a lot of the picture parameters because this TV was just missing too many picture controls so overall picture quality was a little bit disappointing. Styling might appeal to people with a little bit more conservative tastes. Around the edge of the screen you've got a nice glossy frame here with this chrome accent mark right above the speakers and of course a glossy stand to match the TV itself. When you go into the menu system as we mentioned there's really not all that many options to play with the picture. You can play around with the picture presets and adjust contrast to brightness but you're really missing things like fine tuning of the color temperature, gamma, stuff like that which we really do like if you're going to be playing around in expert mode with the picture of this TV. Around back you'll find three HDMI inputs which is an improvement over last year's HD TV's. It allows you to connect three high def devices with digital connections. There's also two component video inputs and of course this is an HP TV so there is a VGA computer style input around back so conductivity-wise, it does a pretty good job.
