I'm Dan Ackerman and we're here with the HP and -- -- fourteen.
-- be a little like you which collided and be left -- her first song lovely in 2009 that was the end B thirteen in the NB fifteen.
They were really inventive in terms of.
Designed -- -- very upscale but they were really expensive starting at like 16100 bucks moving up has 2000 dollars.
The new generation of and we laugh at the -- -- fourteen we're we have right here Andy and -- seventeen.
And you -- the biggest difference is those guys are actually reasonably priced as -- fourteen starts at 999.
Which really puts it in the category of reasonably priced you -- mid to high range -- up.
Design was the indeed fourteen looks a lot lately and neither can we saw last year its gonna really solid magnesium aluminum body really feel that it felt like -- -- but it's also.
Kinda heavy at the same time a treat want to carry that around in the shoulder bag every day.
I've got HP's typical flat key keyboard and of course you've got this large touchpad that we first on the NB last year but now it really migrated out a lot of other HP systems you know -- next to a MacBook.
It's probably the biggest touch -- out there the same time it's not quite as good because you've got the left and right mouse buttons built in on the bottom there that -- September the touchpad space.
And the multi touch gestures especially the two finger scrolling.
The little one key does not work as easily as Apple's MacBook touch pad and you had that wonderful role either that's an -- is going on Apple's stuff kind of -- -- natural.
Fourteen point five inch screen has a sixteen by nine resolution.
-- -- -- -- in the usual thirteen 66 by 760 he's -- pretty much everything from eleven instead fifteen flat out these days.
And of course we've got some dedicated and the API gravity inside paired with an Intel Core I three I five or even -- seven processor.
Like the other -- laptops HP is paired with these audio on this that's got to make the beats by Dre headphones.
That is -- audio hardware and software inside experts give you better on his experiences -- for using it with his super expensive beats headphones.
Certainly sounds really great for laptop but at any Atlanta because they're really still his laptop speakers for such an upscale well designed system this couple little frustrating -- in there that really -- out of place on a premium system like this.
Besides the attacks that -- finger scrolling that we mentioned disease volume keys right here that new rates lower than buying.
But if -- doing something full screen like playing a game or watching certain kinds of both being video.
It actually forces up a on screen volume part that freaks you out -- the full screen view or even just take you right back of the desktop especially if you're in the middle of the game.
That can be very --
Still this is one of the coolest looking -- -- opt out there.
And now they've cut the price for about a third over the thirteen inch version result last year certainly much more in line component want to what you'd expect to get around 999.
I'm Dan Ackerman and that's the HP and be fourteen.
