Speaker 1: Windows 11 is coming soon. I know I wanna get it. So here's how to check your computer to see if it's compatible with windows 11,
Speaker 1: Windows 11 was recently announced, and it comes with some cool upgrades and new functionality. But before you download windows 11, you might need to do some updates to make sure that your computer is capable of running the new operating system. The first thing you could do is go to the windows 11 Microsoft page and crosscheck your computer [00:00:30] specs with the posted minimum system requirements. There's a link in the description of this video. Some bullet points on specs you'll need one gigahertz or faster with two or more cores on a compatible 64 bit processor, four gigabytes of Ram 64 gigabytes or larger storage device, a Microsoft account, and an internet connection. You can also check your compatibility by downloading the PC health check app. The link for that is in the description of this video. Also download [00:01:00] the app, using the link on the Microsoft page. Once it's downloaded, click on the file, accept the terms of the license agreement and click install.
Speaker 1: You'll see two check boxes, one to open PC health check and the other to add a shortcut on your desktop click finish you'll then see a page that says PC health at a glance, and then introducing windows 11. Let's see if this PC meets the system requirements, click on the big blue button that [00:01:30] says check now pretty much right away and told me that my PC can run windows 11. I then clicked on learn more. And it took me to this page, which says this PC will run windows 11. It has a for frequently asked questions and a button for if I upgrade what will happen to my files. So I'm good to go on this HP specter when windows 11 becomes available.
Speaker 1: Now just for fun, I'm gonna see if my older Dell latitude is compatible too. I doubt that it is, but [00:02:00] it might be cool just to see what Microsoft says if it isn't. So I went through all the steps and it says this PC can't run windows 11, which is a bummer. You can click the, learn more button to see why it won't run windows 11. The specs on this Dell latitude definitely don't meet the requirements for windows 11. So I might need to shop for an upgraded PC in the future. And Hey, would you look at that? Microsoft has links to where you can buy windows 11 compatible PCs right below the system requirements. How convenient well, that's how to find out if [00:02:30] your PC is compatible with windows 11.
