Haier's extremely thin sound bar
Hey.
I'm Matthew Moskovciak at CNET and we're gonna take a look at the Haier SPEV40-Slim.
This is a budget sound bar system and it's currently selling online for about $260.
This is probably the finish sound bar I've ever seen.
It's just 1.1 inches thick and that really gives it an impressive slim profile.
It's propped up by sturdy metal feed on the bottom and there's one melting hardware included too.
The sum for two is surprisingly small and it has a narrow profile which is 5.6 inches thick.
For some it has also wireless so you can place it nearly anywhere on the room although it does need to be plugged into the wall.
There's appear to be anything else on front of the sound bar but if you press the button on the remote to display lights up from behind the speaker (grow?).
It's a really great design because you get the unclutter front panel but you can also see what input you're on or how loud the volume is when you're making adjustments.
You can control the higher inner via a series of bonds that run along with back or via the included remote.
The remote is okay but the buttons are laid out horse on a (lay?) which is a little one conventional.
So the sound bar around and there are two inch you might put in the back which is pretty nice considering no sound bar don't have any any (HD?) you might put at all.
The Haier also includes an optical audio and put any mini jack input so you should be pretty set for connectivity.
On the other hand the Haier does have built-in bluetooth or airplay so you can wirelessly scream audio from the smartphone or tablet although you can easily add that capability with an Apple TV or bluetooth accessory.
While the Haier is impressive.
It's even more impressive that it manages the sound pretty great even though it's so slim.
The solid sound quality is mostly due to the fact that the Haier and the sound bar really blend together nicely so everything's sound pretty natural.
You kinda get a tone at deep base from a system like this but it handles both movies and music surprisingly well and overall it performs better than budget competitors like VCO, VHD 215 or the Yamaha Wyeth 101.
But great sound quality in ultra slim design and a healthy set of features was really a lot to like about the Haier especially for the price.
if you're looking for a budget sound bar, the Haier should be at the top of your list.
