Google's I/O conference, plus major labels selling off Spotify stakes
This is CNET and here are the stories that matter this week.
At Google's I/O event, we were given a glimpse at some of the technology the company is working on.
Android P, the next mobile operating system, will focus more on AI features like adaptive battery technology, learning your common habits, and gestures similar to Apple's iPhone 10.
Google also demoed AI voice technology called Duplex that has voice so lifelike it can already successfully interact with humans making reservations or scheduling appointments.
House Democrats released more than 3,000 Facebook ads bought by the Russia based Internet Research Agency.
The ads ran from 2015 to 2017 and popped up as sponsored posts in the news feeds, a specifically targeted groups of Facebook users.
The goals of some of the ads were to influence the 2016 US presidential election and to undermine faith in the US democratic process.
More that 120 million Americans were exposed to the Russian backed content during the election
And finally, according to Recode, two major music labels have sold off large chunks of their stakes in Spotify.
Last week, Sony sold half of its shares, and now Warner Music Group says it has gotten rid of 75% of its equity as well.
This comes on the hells of Spotify going public, which it did last month at evaluation of $30 billion.
