Get the Most Out of Multitouch on Your Trackpad
Speaker 1: Sorry, magic mouse enthusiasts. These tips are for trackpad users only with just your fingers and your track pad. You can access multi-touch gestures. These will unlock Mac as shortcuts that can speed up your workflow. Here are five of my favorite gestures for the track pad. First, let's go to the multi-touch control center on your Mac. You can view set, estimate all your gestures from here. Go to system preferences, then track pad. Let's start with my favorite three fingers swiped to V mission control. Swipe up on [00:00:30] your track pad with three fingers and you get a bird's eye view of all the windows open on your desktop. Now click on the window. You wanna see let's get fancy with this one pinching with your thumb and three fingers you to launchpad where you can view all your apps to exit launchpad. Just reverse the touch action.
Speaker 1: Here's one for productivity. Swipe left from the right edge. With two fingers. This reveals your notification center. Then swipe back with two fingers to hide it. Now let's try zooming in for smart zoom, double tap [00:01:00] with two fingers to out double tap again, you can also pinch with two fingers to zoom in and zoom out. Finally, here's one that I use all the time. Swipe between pages and apps to swipe between pages on the same site, scroll left, or right with two fingers to swipe between full screen apps, scroll left, or right with three fingers, want to learn more or gesture shortcuts and Mac tips.
