>> Welcome to Geek Pop. I'm Molly Wood.
>> And I'm Tom Merritt.
>> We're here to tell you what's available for your geeky entertainment pleasure this week and be on.
>> Well you're in to zombies, space battles, I don't know, maybe the occasional kung-fu elf or something. You've come to the right place. Start with movies?
>> If you didn't know and I actually didn't until recently, another X-Files movie's in the works. The production and shooting have been insanely secretive but we have learned the movie's title--X-Files I want to believe.
>> And we have a few details about the plot. From what we know it sound like a bunch of women in Virginia disappear and only Molder and Scully can solve the mystery of course.
>> Of course.
>> The movie will star the original molder, Ann Scully, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as well as Amanda Peete and rapper Xzibit. I sincerely hope that Xzibit will be pimping some X-Files rides.
>> Meanwhile B movie fans know that American travel riders wandering around the Australian Outback are bound to run into life threatening situations possible involving enormous man-eating crocodiles. It's just the way things work. It's also the plot of Rogue in theaters this weekend.
[ Sound effects ]
>> But you don't have to go into a theater to catch a good movie this weekend. Google Me premieres on You Tube Friday, April 25th, Jim Killeen made a movie about how searching on his own name led him to hunt down all the other Jim Killeen's out there and put together a little Jim Killeen meet-up. In fact our own Kara Tsuboi from News.com did a little interview with Jim Killeen. Check it out.
>> I think the message is clear, is that we're all connected in the world and there is a brotherhood of man.
>> So who knew that you could find all those people? I'm gonna have to find all the Tom Merritt's; there's a lot of them though.
>> I really don't want to do that because there is another Molly Wood that I know of for sure and she's in the pornos.
>> Yeah the other Tom Merritts are a Kung-Fu Master, listen to Buzz Outloud in Texas and the dead guy from Edgar Lee Master's Spoon River Anthology.
>> A Kung-Fu Master you liar.
>> Well yeah.
>> Now for that, let's move on to TV. Lost returned this week for its stretch run to the end of Season 4. We must not reveal spoilers but you can get up on all past episodes at abc.com where all 4 seasons are available streaming in HD. And then head over to Lost Pedia at lostpedia.com for every niggling fact about every scene as well as some good theories.
>> And good-bad news, Terminator spin-off The Sarah Conner Chronicles has been renewed. Sounds like it will return to Fox around mid-season 2009 right about the same time as 24.
>> Also this week a TV mystery. See by all outward signs, a new show is starting this week called Scarlet; it's the brainchild of David Nunnery who's an Emmy award winning director of every show you like including Smallville, Supernatural, the pilot of the Sarah Conner Chronicles, X-Files, anyway. Scarlet seems to involve a super hot TV actress model person with a secret and a glowy red eye. The trailer is kind of like a cross between Alias and Bionic Woman.
>> Now supposedly the show premieres April 30th but where? It's not listed on any TV Guides and there is no industry news about a new show so what's the deal? Is it a web only show? I don't know but I am, in fact, intrigued.
>> I also am intrigued.
>> You know if you weren't going to show it anywhere else and you had a website you were going to put a video on, you'd just say coming April 30th and assume that people meant there so maybe it's just coming to the web.
>> I guess it would I don't know.
>> Like the web, only a high quality video show would be awesome.
>> I know that's what I'm thinking because it doesn't look all the way to TV quality even though it's really high quality. We shall see.
>> Next up, DVD's. Just one this week, Cloverfield hit the shelves April 22nd. In case you have some short-term memory loss that's the J.J. Abram's movie shot home movie style about a big monster attacking New York.
>> And finally, a little game news.
[ Audience clapping ]
>> Mario Karper [phonetic] Wii is out on Sunday. This one has been sitting on my pre-order list for weeks now and I am not alone. Game Swat even has a little counter on their launch center and why wouldn't they. Mario Kart was awesome before, but now it's got support for 12-player online races and it comes with a free Wii wheel. I could die right now.
>> Don't die. The Wii offer [phonetic].
>> Thanks for watching the show. We have a new e-mail address if you want to send us some suggestions, comments or questions, Geekpop@cnet.com. Thanks for watching.
>> See you next time.
