Hey, I'm Donald Bell for CNET.com and I'm here to show you the BlackBerry PlayBook.
This is a 7-inch tablet computer that's coming from BlackBerry, from RIM, and it's meant to compete against other tablets that are out there right now.
There's not a lot out there so it's fair to say it's competing against the Apple iPad.
It's a smaller screen, it's a 7-inch capacitive multitouch display so it's a really nice display for this size.
From taking a look at it, I gotta say I really like the screen, I really like the format, the size.
It's not quite small enough to fit in your pocket but it still is a large enough screen to take advantage and browse the web and check your e-mail.
Things we still don't really know, we don't know how long the battery is gonna last, we don't know what the pricing is, we don't know when it's gonna come out and we don't know if it's going to be attached to carriers or if it's gonna be something you can just buy off the shelf and use without a contract or without a BlackBerry smartphone.
So that's it, that's the RIM BlackBerry PlayBook.
It's a 7-inch tablet computer.
We don't know when it's coming out but we're excited that's another entry to give the iPad a run for its money.
For CNET.com, I'm Donald Bell.
