>> Hey, what's going on everyone? I'm Jeff Bakalar and this is Quick Tip on Finder actions using Quicksilver. So, we've explained before how you can use Quicksilver to quickly launch Apps in MAC OS X. However, Quicksilver can do a whole lot more. The power of Quicksilver comes from the fact that most of us can actually type a lot faster than we can even move our mouses. Now, if I want to move something into Finder, first I have to navigate to the file, select it, then drag it over to a new Finder window where I have to navigate, once again, to where I want the destination to be. OS X makes this easy with spring loaded windows but it can still take a lot of precious time especially if you're in a rush. So, how we do the same thing at Quicksilver? It's easy. First, launch Quicksilver by pressing the default hot keys control and space. Then you can either type the name of the file, in this case, we're using My Deepest, Darkest Secrets.txt or the location of the file. In this case, we're gonna use My Documents folder and then using the arrow keys, select the correct file. Once I have the files selected, I can press the Tab key which opens a new pane and in this pane, I can type whatever action I want to find it to perform such as Move, Copy, Thrash it or Rename the file. In this case, I wanna move it to the desktop, so all I do is type move and then press Tab. This opens a third pane where I can type the destination which in this case would be desktop. All you do is hit Enter and boom the file is actually moved over to the desktop. It sounds hard but it's not, all you do is think it, type it and you're done. Almost anything you can normally do in Finder you can do with Quicksilver without opening up any new Finder windows. I'm Jeff Bakalar and this has been a Quick Tip. Thanks for watching.
