Ezviz's Lookout camera knows who's at your front door
[MUSIC]
Hey guys, I'm Megan Wollerton for CNet, here at the techwest area os CES 2018, taking a look at $230 EZVIZ lookout smart door view.
So this looks a little different from your standard security camera, because it's actually an integrated doorbell that you mount to your front door.
And there are two different parts to it.
So you see, over here, this part goes inside your front door.
And it's basically a viewer so you can see what's happening outside your front door.
So if someone comes up to your front stoop, you'll get an alert from the motion sensor built into To the front mounted device.
It also has an integrated doorbell, so it'll detect motion, someone can ring the doorbell and then the video feed will pop up on the other side.
You can have a two way talk through the integrated microphone and speaker, and there's also a related app so if you're not right by your door you can get an alert.
Whether you're grocery shopping, away at vacation, wherever you have Internet connection.
At launch the EZVIZ lookout will also feature facial recognition so you can basically create a database of familiar friends and family members or anyone else who regularly comes to your home.
And it will send you a customized alert when the motion detector senses that they're there.
EZVIZ also has upcoming plans to add Amazon Alexa support.
So in theory you'll be able to do a whole lot more advanced smart home With this device when it becomes available a little bit later this year.
Thanks for watching guys, I'm Megan Wollerton for CNET, here at CES 2018, taking a look at the all new EZVIZ lookout.
