Been described by some of the pay while it's really more of -- pay window as paid content went out. But they have to there in this bad situation in some ways because they as -- content with it. They want payment for the broadcast networks -- cable but they're available over the air boxes and until now they've been accessible online without pay. But they want to be able to -- it. The pay TV operators don't -- have to Paper retransmission rights if it's available online and it becomes this huge dance but at the same time if you put up like. An eight day window and people really really really wanna see that program. They're -- empire. So you have this -- you know I mean it's like. Becoming as John Strickland put in the chatroom -- content with holder in my opinion. Is not the way to. Push or little business model it it just doesn't. I understand that you have to figure out new ways to make money and I think I and I understand and the broadcast world. -- -- -- -- and ugly complicated brightly. Because of all that the local carriers in the retransmission rights in the TV everywhere which seems like such a good idea but then you get big distributors in two programmers who -- a cut of all that and I know it's a mess. But anytime you're putting -- more and more barriers for consumers to. Consume content you're just pushing them more toward illegal sources and -- -- that. And this is you know -- this is gonna affect a lot of people who won't hear this story. And then we'll be like what is going on and then they're gonna get mad at that content creators of the content rights holders. And it's gonna turn on them like this. The really you know I know they're trying to be. Trying to make good with that cable carriers in the retransmission rights but this is this they're only gonna -- maybe. Let a few not I would even say like a million dollars off of just treating this like. -- -- 799. A month what how how much are they gonna see of this just a (%expletive) off everyone else. And then if you wanna type in a cover letter that's great and it just -- -- -- over how many people have actually I've had so my friends. They've been able to get jobs through linked in just because people found them. I have definitely notice I've had people say that every time they update their Linkedin they get headhunter costs. Like BK would you pay for the business service I think you can see when people updated their as a means yes and so -- and I heard -- more often you update your Linkedin states like them more visible is so like you is -- any like little minor -- -- never will be on top of -- change -- Yes and now maybe even just like -- com -- something. I wonder what. Let the little changes are that trigger that but it's too but I have definitely heard that the people when they they say when it did in and I would tell people and -- and if your job hunting. Clearly hindering innovation and preventing companies from pushing forward because of all these pan -- seats that are lawsuits are going back and forth. These companies still have to acquire other -- just the defend themselves. It's it's this vicious cycle and now it's just it's just -- idiotic. And it's not and Google can. It's not like they can stop right I mean -- is an event there in a position where He says the tech industry has a significant problem. Software patents are coming up the works of innovations -- direct quote from Google and obviously it is somewhat self serving for them to -- it appears self serving for them to -- that. Because their position of trying to like you said acquire these patents but they have to. You literally have to -- play the game if you have the money and you're able to acquire the patent portfolio to protect yourself from this freaking nightmare of litigation then you have to do it. But if you're someone else. Like Mozilla or somebody even smaller than Mozilla who lacks a patent portfolio and the resources to acquire -- you are basically shut out of this market. -- like you there -- to in my mind there's no question. That at this point innovation. Is suffering in the extreme because no little guy can get into this business. -- I mean you could say like. Hulu with the first world problem because we're not gonna have more and more awesome Smartphone -- -- personal problems and was not just imagining -- -- you know like when -- -- a consumer will suffer but. That the -- in some cases are so broad and -- they are emblematic of a larger system that really truly does affect. The a list a list provided by PayPal of the 1000 Internet IP addresses our responsible. For the most protests traffic this is when anonymous is -- -- attacks took down or tried to take down PayPal. Because they were preventing monetary transactions from going to the -- -- accountant so they decided to retaliate. But in that right -- they said two days after it happen PayPal turned over. Their information to the FBI and they were tracking all this activity immediately hasn't happened so now this is what they're using as a reference to go after some of the members. Yes and PayPal continues to withhold funds -- -- WikiLeaks and then also as you mentioned turned over a bill that thousand IP addresses that it says sent malicious network packets to PayPal. That as we said the feds are now using to track down individuals. And charge them now PayPal r.s are anonymous and -- -- put out. A communique an official communique. And said. And this is true. What they say what the FBI needs to learn about attempting to find and prosecute -- best -- on a list of a thousand IP addresses is that. Because those suspects are the people that they -- could face a fine of up to 500000 dollars and fifteen years in jail lol because they've they have these insane new laws that criminalize packing behavior above and beyond what is even close to. Reasonable. They're saying what the FBI and insulin is that there's a vast difference. Between adding -- oyster chorus and digital sit in with lower orbit ion Canon which is what the constitution amendment. And controlling a large botnet of infected computers so let these thousand IP addresses that PayPal turned over. Maybe 900 of them who who -- -- some number of them -- are almost certainly the IP addresses of computers that were part of botnets. That made it where the owners of those computers idea no idea that they were being used in denial of service -- that's how they work.
