Ep. 1333: Introducing the Ginsu Air

Culture
This Wednesday October -- So anytime. -- -- -- Gonzales primary Palin I'm Darren Kitchen and Hollywood welcome to buzz out loud cnet's podcast of indeterminate link that episode thirteen 33 and we are breathlessly awaiting. Some news. From yeah any -- where in the middle of the Apple event right now we're monitoring it -- it is absolutely. Gripping. So we learned our real thing but time -- we'll take a boombox at this point anything to just. It's now been 42 minutes we've seen some updates to highlight we've seen that apparently -- movie will now export to video FaceBook and CN NI report and guitar -- garage band. Has. I don't know if I'm new power but yet though those categories can -- ran the show and at the news emerges we'll we'll go back. Meanwhile though just an interesting little data point that came out of the earnings call yesterday the latest candidate -- the -- before. And it points out that 60% of Apple's sales and their big huge revenue by our from product that did not exist three years ago -- right -- This this is how you. The company moving forward and if you keep bringing new stuff to market. And it's that Apple's credit I mean that's what it. That's how they manage to keep. You know the profits comin' in and revenues coming in -- -- -- with new new new stuff everybody makes new products they just make you products that kill it. No they make new products and completely -- in categories that are completely new for them. You know for the go into the phone that it go to music on the go to phones and they go and TV. So. Anyway that but it. It it is also interesting because this is supposedly the back to the Mac event and we're limits so vibrant and important. What I wondered and yet there are some Mac purist that -- hers that we're staying in -- Apple's focus on iPad and I and ethnic made them maybe take their ball off. Take -- -- off of that core audience ball and you kind of wonder like. It is back at work and -- term I mean certainly it is working fine so that's just the sort of analysts question. The other the Mac. The quarterly sales. The percentage of -- that is Mac is relatively small is. Actually compared to iPhone. Via -- music it's more than I thought it would be looking at this chart here it's an it's an excellent example of growth. Through diversification really consider that it wasn't for the iPad the iPod in the -- this Mac event right now be pretty gripping and I know look at those updates to our life. -- -- All other things that would interest where there weren't more interesting things we're there we're still waiting for the new air that's that's what everybody's on pins and needles about and yet -- that's when I think the audience will wake up again. Where 44 -- and though you can expect that when it around let the 11:30 Pacific. Again really and but I'm. But the fallout from Steve Jobs five minute break out on earnings call continues to royal. And -- -- -- rim Jim Ball Filip who I want kind of wanna called -- -- because this statement interest. -- Was pretty epic -- -- -- CEO and he issued a statement in response to jobs is mainly to his statements that nobody wanted to have an inch tablet nobody cared about flash. And that they. He basically said we've surpass rim and we expect that they'll never even come close to catching it. He said Jim Ball -- For those of us who live outside of Apple's distortion field we know that seven inch tablet -- actually be a big portion of the market. And we know that Adobe Flash support. Actually matters to customers who want a real -- experience bring it back and then it goes on to say we think many customers are getting tired of being told what to think by Apple. And -- by the way we're -- it. And by the way -- achieved record shipments for five consecutive quarters and so on and so forth. As usual he says whether the subject is antennas flash -- shipment. There is more to the story and sooner or later even people inside the distortion field will begin to resent being told half the story. -- interest via it. Those. Are some tough -- now you can look at this -- -- Either it was it was. Sort of a mistake for jobs to get up there and -- hissy fit because everybody's lashing back at him and making very good points like this one or -- managed to keep that earnings call in the news. 448 hours that it would have been otherwise. I don't think it looked at the I really don't Joe Wilcox had a great read up on BetaNews where any title that what is Apple afraid of what Steve Jobs -- -- area. Because when your position of strength there's no reason for you to come out and sound so defensive and -- so scared. You don't you know you don't need to attack from a position of strength and he really. Made himself appear as though he were on the defensive -- in a call when they were basically saying we owned. The tech universe and and I think that it actually it betrayed. A lot of fear and concern on their part that didn't need to be in public it did not and. Are very many people to the Apple mindset no real I mean and it makes me want from a Mac how are you suggesting that Apple about the window is suggesting that only happy when -- -- is on his iPod. -- blink -- just -- and isn't enough he's got like on the market. Now I'm I'm suggesting he's really freaked out. But actual competition and children band at a particular is really concerned about the argument that that the arguments that people are making about open versus closed are starting to hit home -- that people inside the distortion field army be -- thing that they're being told top story. I mean I think he is feeling the defect because there have -- More than I've ever seen right in ten years of having covering -- -- -- There is actual backlash. -- you know you you get the sense that -- troops. -- Not happy -- it's let out a happier they have and needed in the real world now it is less cool than ever to have while in particular iPhone the Mac product but -- I -- a particular. You know it's like that is not the cool thing to have anymore. And the cool thing is anything but -- you know it's gonna you you know you walk into a geek conference with the Windows 7 phone and that's gonna be -- how and when did that happen. You know -- that's back Wednesday. Now it's it's starting you know there was that story and -- -- -- candidate Dan Ackerman of them and they were discussing whether -- speak. That is the tone that the conversations starting to think that that is why I think he's -- -- is on the defensive but when you're feeling like you're on the defensive. You've got act more bad ass than ever -- you can't come -- there'd be like. I am I am there I listen to me cupid to -- -- come up likable. Either scared or -- -- Although that was not the end of it there and one of the most respected developers and Silicon Valley Joe Hewitt who helped create Firefox. Among other things he is responsible for it -- touch mobile website in the first versions of the iPhone app came out on in kind of like a Twitter fit. Yesterday like an hour -- Twitter stream attacking. Android definition of oh yes of a conversation is is joined I mean as Steve. I'll do is fetching about. The -- is better than open and then everybody's complaining about their position at other people's position. And -- point on is now attacking Google -- who's saying that. You know. Android. Saying it's open her open source is not it's not really open because Google doesn't actually put out there. Until it's finished there's no community development of it in the way there's for a real open source. -- that on the show before that Android is open in that you can anybody can develop -- and you -- to kind of development everywhere -- -- they're open right but it's not open source platform will -- it is I -- you can download the source -- after they finalize and say okay this version is -- Leo you can go and download for -- but they don't have -- leading up to a -- you know what I found a -- And I think I've got a way to fix this and I'd like to submit some code and that's normally -- -- in the open source community. Is everybody just kind of shares code and then you know that the cream of the crop makes it to the final release not what goes out to the public. And and what he's saying here is it's. You know it's not open in that sense because you're while you may be able to develop what you want for it you can't you know change the operating system and you're still at the will of whatever operating system version. The provider decides to compile and turn into binary for you that is the thing to close to earth at that point so it's really Verizon that decides OK we got the -- Leo. Source code from Google we're gonna compile it maker on tweaks and -- can get what we give you not. You can take the source code and compile how you want and put it on there I mean you can it's what we you know -- that would -- rankings all about is actually making Android. What it what I I agree that it should be like that or at least give you. It -- as the regular -- and then there's chromium me like a live on the wild side and try the chromium build but I could be -- -- -- -- adopted real opens source. It's unlikely that there will you know my FAR Minnesota every router argument telcos and Appalachia right -- and -- one of the reasons that we might have fragmentation is because and of the carriers can get into the code before actually available to them -- they've gotta do all the the verification before -- put -- phones and so -- all -- quite the same time they're not part of the development process. According anyway to Hewlett you know what Andy Rubin -- out that -- basically anybody can get our code and compile it for whatever device they want kind of missing the point what he says here is. Rubin bickering with jobs is a farce because both refuse to share the one thing that matters which is -- Furl I think that's unfair I think Android open it has been overstated and the open but not open source and so -- always gonna be peers to say that's not enough. But I don't -- but entered as. Unquestionably. A away more open environment an expanding the fact that runs on I don't know more than one phone. Yeah all by you know it's you know and then it's open in the same way that windows -- yeah so when Steve Jobs used that metaphor yesterday it was actually very -- It was. Windows effective when using free and open. You know invented windows refrigerate. Yeah met at -- any reason beer that is pre isn't here. So that's that those that's our hissy fit around -- for today we're gonna take a quick break. And then when we come back we have some news on -- -- conferencing and I think you might like it. Urged a quick update from our live blog which you can follow along -- is not comment -- streaming -- live. We have eleven blood from the Apple event back to the Mac the news so far is that face time is now available on the Mac you can you think I'm calling. From the Mac the Mac is now what they do it like that's -- badly Skype and they acted. Actually not that for Apple. And if I may break in here's an interesting news for all -- reverts fans out there it looks like -- to match will. Angry -- publisher has been acquired for twenty millions by electronic arts. Really. So unverified with the -- just breaking news though -- Fun stuff that though they have gone big gotten anthologies are coming that just means that EA I don't know. Ever -- I think -- they'll make it work but let's -- thinks about that you know it it comes to the Mac. It's I'm gonna now now at the -- -- man is that -- an integrated vertical platform like why they had the market share with the Justice Department instant. That's a yep that's right prices so high -- way island is now but it about the -- what -- will come bundled or pre. With every new Mac -- the 49 dollar upgrade. And -- time is built and in you know here's the Mac like the operating system with everything built in you'd ever want -- -- the exact same thing they haven't gotten that much trouble is that they don't tell me. Anyway. If they do -- right mystery I'm -- is active I would think. Not that happy although it's just it's Mac and granite -- -- known everywhere but jobs -- -- when he talked when he announced face time at with the iPhone for. Right yeah that they were going to open it up. And Skype -- Haven't -- happening. You haven't seen the Skype I think yeah -- that -- is -- -- an open either you know it does no -- set. Particle race it's totally another thing they just drop the -- laughs again and now they're showing up a preview of lion is in fact it's called lion. I think -- actually they weren't -- -- don't hurt me. -- There we'll check in that it matched many -- the -- that they have got it and it nine in and instantly an update and as we continue our show. Verizon apparently has dibs on the galaxy tab it will become the first ones to military November 11 -- here it is the president -- -- -- -- no idea. Not thousand dollars and -- 99 with no contract -- data plan is completely optional and -- data -- -- at twenty dollars a month for a -- and I assume it does not involve contact. That kind of similar to the very an accident that I got him look at the park now in its its look and better. That this little -- it looks pretty cool. -- I know but I know now that -- now that not -- -- has some real thing -- -- -- -- not thousand dollars it's not tied to some -- contract. And it and there's a decently priced data. Plan available like notified and it's seven inches by nine and more than a panel that and you need sandpaper to make it work and needed to figure it which -- -- in her I'm not -- and -- paper in Europe but it has so many of the things that the academic -- it's in my -- ain't gonna get the front facing camera and. -- and than on flat. And around isn't it I think that -- -- -- can get Kindle for right. Yes so done -- and yeah yeah I'm totally I'm I'm and you Vietnam and in theory of the -- and and the battery life -- I -- heart that. Anyway -- I think that a third of good news -- the -- department well related to that is Verizon doing it cheaper data plan. Yeah in fact down from thirty dollars a month which was sort of the only option available you can now get a fifteen dollar month plan. That will be limited to -- 150 megs. And you'll be charged ten cents per megabyte ego there one of these plans give you a chance. If you give you solar electric turn it off when you hit the limit because that's regional plan -- -- like downloading -- books and stuff like that -- occasional email. If there will alert you -- many in effect okay and -- them on you know whenever. Yeah I wonder. That that has been one of the complaints that everybody has with -- with data caps is like is their way to monitor -- -- I wonder if they will. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Basically The Wall Street Journal thing it's just a response to everybody's price sensitivity because that was the big complaint -- mean you know sadly this comes too late to save became. -- -- You know -- -- the most interesting things that the service just the -- at the bottom from this. Company here valid -- that says that that the average iPhone user uses 344 megs of data month -- a Blackberry which uses 485. Yeah -- how Android stacks up to that. Not yet. Apple and yeah I am a little and -- very reached -- to see this X meets iPad. Slide here and jobs talking about how they're taking innovations the multi touch interface. And stuff like that and the app store and full screen -- and all that stuff that is part of the iPad experience -- out. Bringing it to OS-X. Yep and multi touch gestures in particular. The absurd to me on the Mac with the -- to -- that. App home screens full screen apps not a -- I mean it absolutely -- public. What we have been -- mention whether Ellison was gonna go away it's not going away but they're certainly folding a lot of -- us into OS-X. And -- he's giving a reason for why there's not a touch screen Mac he says. Is ergonomically terrible to have the vertical. Touch that your -- gets tired you know what you -- horizontal. So I guess when we see the new MacBook whatever products we're not gonna feel touch screen on -- but that idea of an. Well OS-X app store is to meet one of the killer things here. We'll see more about -- a second I wonder if you gotta change software -- Comedy. The magic touch pad or whatever them it was that the precursor to this -- not -- with foreshadow a -- sorry but that's -- foreshadowing to you know violence on on Mac is I mean you you cannot content to screening is the only other -- -- it. With the gestures would be on. That sort of -- and -- after interface for in and your way to do it on a desktop. Is it via -- touchpad on your desktop and it and it had definitely -- -- enormous yeah and month. -- know that think that is going to be even more useful now although I still suspect that you'll see a touch screen iMac. Because that still works -- in computer anything like HP has a touch smart and I think they'll make one that's -- that's an all in one PC. That is a touch screen and I think that still I think that model still works. And I bet that. I can see it you wouldn't want -- -- laptop but I would be soprano -- that that's been a Mac feature I mean they've got them patent on. Nemesis then yeah I mean HP's cut machines like that. This is he. Huge news on the app store stuff guys he's talking about one click downloads free and paid -- 37 -- revenue split for developers I guess Apple keeps 30%. They're gonna be keeping seventy that'll -- 30% there's standard answers yet but this will be for like 49 dollar software packages now on Mac books really yet on American English and updates and -- -- be licensed for use them all your personal -- Yeah that's what I guess most offer is actually but. Just now. -- we I mean who knows what that apps will turn out to be BitTorrent could be a big moneymaker -- for developers mr. When you get there's also full screen apps support which people in the chatroom are pretty excited about them one click -- definitely the Iowa. The Ohio west model more and more and Mac and still the same underlying operating system but the bringing an economic commuter and percent of patients from -- into bullets and pretty at an interest in not that's not unexpected have to say yes no and effectively -- predicted. Believed that I'm gonna go away but pretty both but I was just. Jump start button in the wake of the Wall Street -- big investigation into third party app data sharing on FaceBook -- The Wall Street Journal is reporting that lawsuits in California and Rhode Island. Are now taking aim at -- but and Zynga. And they're claiming that they violated federal also not unexpected the bottom here we -- the first lawsuits have been filed. And. And I think as thing how many pharma that they can take to make -- go away of the loosening up there mafia wars people -- I think right. They have that's -- -- -- you'll get damaged and so it just look at some form. That our jokes are doing so well and -- -- so when the when the class action suit is finally settled fifteen years from now them people beginning like. Cabbages. Electronic -- Actually Dan Ackerman thing how Mac software makers feel about giving Apple 30% in order to play in the new Mac apps are because that's not the typical -- in public certificate through the typical model for computer development of the just -- -- -- and -- excel and -- -- another positive. But it's never had that big boat that big you know that the Wal-Mart of of applications that you just pop in there and everything's there you know. It -- it's a while harper applicant any kind of money I mean is that we I guess the question does it really good for developers write like you could -- you could just make it out for the Mac invalid and do what you love it what do you let you and sell more apps or do you want you have a higher profit -- Thanks Steve. And -- I I don't play devil's advocate here. Now I know yours that's the argument that is exactly you could sell more or not I mean. This is how do you wanna -- Good role. As long as we're waiting for more news from the Mac world is ditching all street view Wi-Fi scanning they have no they had stopped collecting. Wi-Fi data from their street -- vehicles and now they're saying they have no plans to resume. Using street view cars to collect any of that information and application of Wi-Fi network they really can't anymore besides. Well -- they don't need to mean it is all over Android devices are scanning the Wi-Fi in the area. -- -- -- GPS and sending it back to Google so -- -- they get even better database because we're just roaming around all day -- they -- send -- fleet of vehicles that. And that's they don't need vehicles they have they made us all into their. It'll palm's low -- by scanning pawns we're there it's true we beat them at the back. And then our photos that are automatically -- to did you data that I've even seen and I I think you have to opt -- to -- seen it on Google Maps willingness chicken at the thing point Richmond and then boom. There's a photo and of the -- of the user knows that the institute geotag that popped -- movement -- I'm sure. Critical you have to upload. Yeah and I've published somewhere yet to geotag did it was just like there geotagging. Automatic geotagging of photos and have an iPhone is one of the coolest thing that the coolest thing for hackers as long as nobody gets hold of those photos. All right because you can put them -- -- -- anyway we're we're on -- -- yes. -- -- -- -- Engineered from the US Russia Japan and Canada and Europe have come together to publish an international docking standard for spaceships. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- It's often you can download a. -- apparently. We've been. Four of the last many many years of course you know Russians and the the the US space the space program and -- in the Chinese space -- -- different docking standards. -- the International Space Station apparently -- three separate docking rings and I think. I think two of those are US one of them it's of course leave it to the Americans come out with the really ate it docking. -- one so instead of the old like manhole size the manhole covers -- the man holds the people at the slide through. They now have American -- American side of big square once -- -- that -- us astronauts and there. One that is -- here that -- so. I was reading an of these stories and you know why all the Russian space equipment is long and tubular I mean everything in tubes here is that the that -- little -- Anyway so now we have a standard so we can rescue each other when we get stranded in space wouldn't. Which is actually -- is actually pretty well also useful FaceBook apparently responding to numerous complaints. Has changed its photo memories sidebar module so that you no longer it will display photo memories of your -- -- -- Instead and getting local Christian girls and find your partner now. But that number when you -- -- -- to know -- girls now if you have friends who you're listed as formerly in a relationship with. So are like you were. So yeah it depends on you updating your relationship status that you had said that you were in a relationship with -- Obama and and now you're no longer in a relationship and any change -- -- -- that -- that person will no longer pop up in year. Photo memories FaceBook will stop torturing you with painful memories but -- -- there was a sense of it only works if you tell FaceBook that. Well yeah yeah yeah well -- yeah all the stuff and -- alive but of course. An election it. But apparently was -- huge I had no idea with -- it numerous complaints and they -- -- -- -- responding to your event we don't want you to show. Like that -- -- named Julie that it keeps showing me pick them by act than their new significant other and yesterday. I think that all. And make me sick but is getting annoying because it can show me someone else anyone else different things. It's so interesting -- -- but. I bet that now what they do you most of the day is spent their time and unintended consequences. You let it doesn't. Well that -- sharing and now it was like old crap you don't. Now olina retirement they don't out of identity that the C plus plus classes -- is that adults that and now those of developers about this from our chat room back to the Mac. If you well. Well the thing we're not gonna develop for the new Mac apps or because we -- we're not excited about paying an Apple -- him to make it up in volume. And -- some other people pointing out that if you know if what if Microsoft demanded 30%. -- -- You know once again the Justice Department might involve the -- interest in -- that but jobs did say. That -- the new Mac app store will not be the only way to buy out it will just be he says. The -- and -- yeah. It would just be the unicorn -- Mac -- I have Larry -- the we did act as we're -- -- email -- Real tolerant -- just I just thought about like 30% of Photoshop that's a lot of money yeah no okay no I think -- got people know who had a bit of Adobe dot com now. They they might. Yet but if you're building you beleaguered and author collection but I things you know think that that the two with measure things -- -- -- I don't know. I don't know what is but it's tens of dollars yet. They're gonna have to make serious calculation do we want to keep all the money for ourselves. Excel or do we want to go where you'll be in front senator and only get 30% of it and then we're like in the Apple universe were part of their machine. It's sneaky and smart of Apple. Very -- levels it is also certainly. The death of box where. Because even if you stay even if your -- Japanese independent and we're not gonna go lethal through the app store because they don't wanna give up 30% of our ludicrous -- you're not people are not going to stand for. Buying a TV anymore. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- That's it's been on that that that Burleigh it in -- -- It's a pro with them and it comes with me. It clear that that's -- -- have to do I can't answer our. I don't worry -- budget cnet.com or email address Tony wrote in -- last night economist on my Tivo thing that channels five and nine had been deleted from my line up. I went there and -- that Cablevision -- had changed. Now it says that. That the FCC is requesting binding arbitration. And although Cablevision agreed to it News Corp. did not -- -- take is that that tells you exactly which companies greedy. But that's -- news that we have not heard before. He says and -- this is like. Indicative of how African Peter has. People of this market are that the FCC's to suspend these groups broadcast -- of an all markets until they resolve the dispute -- some that would be binding arbitration there. -- -- this and that would that would just make everybody angry but it would be -- fun. They're in and do it and -- do it in the middle of a you know of the -- It would make everybody who didn't entity like the Yankees Phillies game yeah -- happy actually hitting middle of the series and then the throughout the right to -- and outdated anyway I think you might as well as. I Netflix sorry James says web OS has had angry birds before Android that wasn't a mock up even talked about -- back in September at the third you know to. I feel like a Mac fan in the ninety's why doesn't the -- to get love. It has the same innards as the G cure the H seven but an OS it's easier to use an Android and pay more apps than windows phone seven. Yes James you're right and we did know that angered birds was out for before for level at the fact I talked to one of the guys are Rovio -- now with it yay. And he said hey we were report -- before they'll launch it that reported this thing to have OS because it was really easy so here it is yeah so we analyze emails to that effect are -- are -- being. Billy because of the previous and Ebert pigment we will try not to be -- -- these bad actors in and it doesn't have speakers I don't know that we're gonna get that. You. I don't know I went organs -- -- the pre two again when it beat him up and cool like opera -- as the first -- if we don't toss it out. In the -- and -- they liked that didn't work out like it. It. Good product it's it's it came out to -- and lots of and it was just ever so slightly behind the rest of the market and then it to that network. It just doesn't have the market share to get the developers as excited about it and it still can't yet I mean I think that that's a huge problem. Mike from Harrisburg written that I know it's not your practice to get into politics but -- -- service this with the use of that relates to some of the latest headlines and -- -- -- -- Big -- Google. And tapered on the -- the past several weeks about the eighteenth have been committing suicide due to bullying and about how many people are now posting videos online in order to inspire teens are being partially believe. To hang in there because it gets better. -- Google just won me over because a group of its employees put together -- video. That does just that and -- the link to the YouTube video. And I saw this on Twitter to and it it is. Is very cool and it was very cool of -- and placing it -- -- do that and all of the people opposed to these. It's you can find most of them at the Trevor project dot org. People are making all kinds of it it it gets better videos and -- -- frankly like one every year. It shouldn't be about politics like what your feelings aren't subject it has been remarkable that the people -- together and use the Internet as you know once again. -- gathering place for sending a message to people who feel alone and abandoned and -- other -- Now. It for you Googlers and good for the Internet for just making. Bring the world -- -- -- -- that story. Or -- we -- -- issue apologies for the download issues yesterday which actually weren't that bad but we like it became a huge topic. Thirty of the following photos. Suggesting the real reason that our show one play. That -- -- eat it in case you're not watching the video it's screen shot from an iPhone that says. Buzz out loud thirteen 32 Steve Jobs it is a fifth. Cannot be played on the -- -- had a. Yeah well our yes. Are Paul -- distance the meter and it's fixed it stake. Listen to Steve Jobs that it's a bit and yesterday's show -- -- -- -- though. It's one more thing -- moo big time get absolutely perfectly don't but don't stop don't stop the stream. Don't stop -- stream and there's one more thing apparently Steve Jobs says it comes back to our theme today which is back to the Mac. Place your bets now actually my -- Thinner our topic that is totally MacBook Air of them went to air right. One more thing we -- the -- On -- And. I'm like I'm thorough. Before we get to it that Mac apps store opened in oh what what happened he says about MacBook meant an iPad. Media. He better not to -- in the transforming after all better and yeah -- former. And your -- or -- Eric got type faster. But it and I had a picture of the Mac but meeting at and I can -- the time people. Really great I think so grouped together and -- videos about the first day. Yeah and and -- have a. The app store opens on snow leopard within ninety days at snow leopard by the way will be summer of -- 2011 is what they're saying line. Clients are yes -- with instant on great battery life amazing standbys solid state storage no optical hard drives and thinner and lighter. Our tipster said yesterday that that instant on was gonna be built into every Apple mobile product. And has already isn't it I mean I -- -- MacBook. -- to hear from I'm like yeah proper and -- -- the so that you commitment that Mac is that there's just so happy that the the sleep function just works yet. -- it's that he's he's. Touting the iPad and -- -- all WAV editing MacBook Air yet. It's our new MacBook air and we think it's of the future of notebook and please welcome relief and -- -- -- -- You're really eleven. We think it actually apparently according to Twitter he is really only -- off them. So far all throughout -- doesn't school like butter and and hadn't been magical and Ivanov and now. Awesome is the number if you're an upbeat than anything about amateur hour and let them have them. It's point 68 inches at its thickest point it tapers to point eleven inches point 11 inches and. -- the sharpening steel the night cuts at the MacBook Air if they didn't there I course that. Fat fat. When I did not two point nine pounds wow site on that looks like a Star Wars star destroyer. But smaller much smaller. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- And yeah than I don't know them them them the them. Can the MacBook -- -- felt. -- like against him but I like that better yet. Act before midnight tonight it is the unibody construction all of the MacBook Pro with a full size keyboard and Apple plans last track pad. But how much will. It does appear to -- while not appears to be one USB port. That women from. And it looks like MacBook just with the MacBook -- with that -- -- here. Ha -- firewire originators you're so cute. -- -- and the actual show. Now we know it's -- MacBook air and then we can just. Are needed and talk about that -- -- kill an air check I find this week we are hacking DNS and sneaking past firewalls with a IP version six. Right airline the other can't that combo that he had -- traveling -- excellent excuse -- creates. Tune in to Martin Steve we have any more thoughts about the -- but -- but -- at least you got the news before you went. -- Mac.
