With Thanksgiving right around the corner the Samsung galaxy nexus in our -- -- and funny does a special. Remember her every -- In hangar since you should not president men with me. The body. I'm for us. -- -- -- -- Sun saying -- -- -- -- -- Anyway there's plenty to celebrate as you can seeing it through the couple neatly decked out but that's -- celebrating yet because it's not even Thanksgiving and -- to snap and and and we are wearing these special hats I -- just get all -- -- this is dialed in CNET cellphone podcast it is Monday. November 21 2011. And as -- mentioned into income special cast Bonnie Todd who has her own games on and by technical producer Steven -- them. And -- so -- didn't celebrate because in the distance Turkey day it'd also aren't. -- -- -- we have party hats and is makers and amendments an illness that is very happy event -- And I can't really expand its. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- This is actually in real per second were not taking it even and it's time in the morning our time -- -- somewhere it is in New York that's where you just for and it -- delicious. And are no longer distribute its effect now and I'm getting via upscale. Market orange -- you answer that with a perfect now bank yeah it might have -- -- okay so other things we can -- -- it. The arrival. It's him thinking -- that's when it is party and is here. And Atlantic at a -- you only you -- it. And so basically the big deal at this and is that we have been waiting for it for really -- time and it is one of the three. Super duper amazing premium phones for Verizon except that when -- isn't out for. This is the unlocked -- status and locked version and is running -- of ET mobile -- apparent and BH -- PA plus networks so we have not been able to test it. On Verizon in fact we don't even -- of -- to eats. Or -- -- place but it's out in Europe and thanks Google for giving us that isn't copy that we can't look at -- play with and indeed. We have to give it back. Eventually but hopefully Verizon will be giving us yes so that'll be okay you know we -- iPad to be a cure Google -- on -- -- any. I want an unlocked version anyway. And that it is -- and it actually. And I SO. This is the Samsung galaxy next. There is a whole lot it's -- I mean between the hardware and the software Kent and I -- basically inherently tedious to reviewing it now any time I went away came back in the same day you had a busy week at a busy week I am. -- -- Interviewed by mr. -- -- our. -- avatar knows I'm down but does -- Google live music that goes funny for me as the first question I asked him like stories you've got a Blackberry back -- are asking him about phones segment as kids. Not here for -- -- not here for product you're not here for got to go to music. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- But anyway back to -- and so there is a lot of humour going into minutes because first we reviewed the actual phone are where -- And then we reviewed the phone software so it's tremendous I mean the phone hardware itself it -- looks like. Attempts and I'm pretty much TV slightly thinner like a little bit -- -- in the past this kind of like textured surface that they column papers in peppers in and that's just a description of the texture -- -- that there's no other -- -- -- at a holographic it doesn't change but there. And I mean I know we've been very critical of Samsung hardware in the past thinking. This is death -- and nice improvement over her and you know the previous galaxy S -- -- yeah version. It's not quite as plasticky feel again -- back cover helps. I mean it's still not super premium it's very late to dairy and yet but it anyway. Yeah I've spent an instant -- in my hands a couple times but did. But I am. I might also just in little clumsy and -- you know I represent all of clumsy America there are people. Aren't exactly and -- And so we said okay so the phone hands I mean it's really up to -- on its -- it to. Processors got an eight megapixel cameras got a friend -- humans -- It really everything that you would expect dynamic -- keeping in the running especially against HTC is found in the Motorola during grids are. And we get a little flak because what we've said. That went out ice cream sandwich and hear how the phone it's just another phone but that's another -- -- She'd take operating system off of everything in the you're reading system doesn't work you've got a -- great. So the operating system is really everything. I think that the rest of the -- specs you stand up. -- to the other when it's just because they are really high and I have not finished my camera test yet yet and the camera seems. If they're really not back reach me and it it's -- it. Primary 88. OK some of the colors taken -- seemed like a little bit over saturated and and seminarians. The nice thing here is that ice -- image does that editing tool and am able -- test that out I mean most of the time photos. Are really bad taken and I and in and -- and actually. We had a nice little send off for Nicole yeah -- And we pass the phone around and take a bunch of pictures and there's some link really about red -- -- app is testing out that editing features -- -- to see how it -- like. It definitely help to improve the -- I yes but I wouldn't say that. In it. Disappeared complete -- so I think the camera is good made it -- but not like that fantastic but it. It's still cellphone camera you're not gonna by the plan for the camera cards. Ice cream sandwich it's basically the way I describe it is that Google kind of went ahead. And -- worked every almost every single screen -- I mean I -- the whole visual world. Some icons that are familiar enough -- -- -- messaging you know but like the phone icon that contact like on the camera icon and in the browser icon are all different reworked and that's not important on its own but I think what it is is that sort of problematic that Google is growing up and that it is taking a firmer stake and interest and I think the biggest changes people asking him. What are the biggest changes and there are a lot of tiny little changes in terms of added functionality. I would -- the biggest changes are or visual originally now. Overhauling. The totally different -- -- everything. And it's also mountain. It's also the way that. Operating system is no organized there's much more structure. So -- there are things like you can argue trusting Google -- you can -- -- your data usage on the followed him you can now use facial unlock. Things like that anti think it's any easier to use than previous versions of band during -- In some ways yes and in some ways -- so one of the things that Google dead. Was it it tried to surface some of them were hit in features because there's always been -- common complaint. An injury requires steep learning -- this has some of the things that it has now is out it's got a new menu. So they've got the sort of like triple stacked colon that actually really reminds me of windows that -- And it's kind of drop down menu sometimes it's on the top sometimes on the -- and patient pipeline grade and that's the man so there's not gonna be menu patent anymore you've got these new three on screen controls are really does bring a lot of honey comb -- -- is this really good integration of honeycomb with our previous integrator last. But previous injury at last now has a lot more flair -- so. There's got and it's just organizationally you know things are brought to the surface but there are plenty of hidden things that you're never gonna know about Catholic if you tap -- clock. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- That's the notification and it's the browser. Open browser towns. And also in your most recent list can currently -- -- -- and it's really cool thing you really wouldn't know it and it's not a gesture that's like necessarily pervasive are necessary gesture you know throughout the entire operating system but it's kind of yes and I think one of my other -- complains that. Things look really different and in certain apps you said there's definitely seen this look and feel that's really polished and and you go over to different app. And it's got kind of like it differently in field so it really feels to me and I kind of like passed it around -- CNET editors and you know staffers to ask -- their opinion and I -- I did get a lot of their agreement -- -- but it kind of seems like. Google took a bunch of engineers -- them in separate rooms. -- -- on an as yet you're gonna rebuild the contact tab and the dial screen. I wish I can't chino because it will have people's personal phone numbers on it and nobody would like me -- and I. And then they came to there and they brought it all together so in -- of -- -- like it is really great like basically bottom line. I would rather have ice cream sandwich and gingerbread on my -- going forward. However I think that there is room for HTC. Forcing him sign it. For Motorola that create their own -- on top of it created and -- it now the question and another question that people and asking you guys have been asking a lot of questions and justifiably except for me but one of the questions that I -- is you know what about all the phones currently in that are going to get ice cream sandwich update service three on screen controls -- bottom. But those phones already have the four touch sensitive buttons polite. So what's gonna happen. Well I asked HT -- And they have nothing to report and -- so I mean. With ice cream sandwich in the Google there's definitely no requirement. Than one nice thing about it being really open. Is that the manufacturers. Can use what's provided -- that they don't have to. So it's not like Microsoft and Windows -- land you have to have those three hardware button exactly -- -- there are zero minimum requirement for Google to use -- apart from minimum hardware. That I used to be of that one of -- -- lower. And when they introduced it lets just say you -- for fun -- all the way through with that you had to house. Touch screen buttons corresponded to view various tasks not gone yet so this is even more open in Armenian the number -- board. So you guys -- asked a lot of questions and I I did create this documents. And it is your galaxy nexus an ice cream sandwich questions answered so I will just read -- one -- two of them know where you. And answer them so I think the big question that people have is. Between three pounds but when should she get the galaxy nexus HTT Arizona and Motorola's -- -- and my answer is. -- that are there. Hey now it's about time already -- I -- had taken during I think the -- is. It's still I mean these are three different phones from the top three Android manufactures. And they each have -- own. Separate appeal the others -- -- the galaxy nexus does have amber it. -- contain electronic current will. As soon as it's released for. All these -- Verizon's four GL TE -- -- they're going to be super speedy. And internals on on all of them are really gave the screens are -- -- -- the cameras are you know moralists about the same. The -- comes with unions had said. But I think it's if you half Q if you absolutely have to have. In at the most ugly and operating system it -- can -- -- However if you don't then you really -- -- -- of three and it depends which way. -- so that's gonna depend on the look and feel of it and this is assuming that you can mean until January. -- -- -- Which is when we expect that of the renowned in the toward -- -- -- and yes exactly. So and you'll have front facing cameras you're gonna be able to get all -- well. But I think it's you know. Which operating system do you like you want to pure Android experience you really -- -- pierce aimed at HTC hasn't said what their ice cream sandwich is gonna look like -- So I assume it's gonna have the skin of some sort because otherwise you know. It's going to be -- that -- they they have less to offered to hardware. And Motorola draperies -- assume they're gonna wanna keep that trade look and feel that kind of Tangier. But I think it it really. Depends on what you -- Nicole before she left created a really great chart that compares the specs on the three and then there's there of course actress says that red -- Looks really cool you know that's right definitely -- -- different industrial design HTC resound has it beats by Dr. Dre and then it's just. It comes down to which experienced do you like for the past because they're all going to be on the same fast -- And at the end of the day I think its its what do you wanna look at me wanna hit a personal choice. You found that user interface. Even that sign and opponent things like that and I'm kind of -- -- prioritizing. What you're gonna use the phone of course no exact data. And does the galaxy nexus come with a micro sim card slot our review unit has a full sized T -- -- in science which is that we use for testing. I got wet -- called ice cream sandwich and which is your favorite -- It's alphabetical people -- and Google is -- things up. When -- life and get ice cream sand Lance. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Was -- I mean just it just in terms of updates -- the updates can add any other. Sand lake you know early 2012 is gonna be you know -- he's he's gonna update some of their phones anything. Not Motorola's gone on the record and -- when their NN. Update difference but I am asking from that -- that thing is it's cents. It it's a process and you know I wrote an article about it a long time ago and you know it's gotta go. Due to the OEM and do you need to do their testing and then they needed and that over to the carrier and -- -- do their testing and then it's just back and forth so. It can be a process -- forget. You know they said if all things -- great it's a few weeks -- -- Yeah all right yeah about one Wednesday that if everything goes right and they usually complications that got an error especially -- because I Sprint's -- does at a lot of features and because that's similar and different formats much bigger yet. That I -- gonna take them longer yeah we got through right now. I'm -- -- work but my tablet. -- In fact it was purposely sent out it would combine Android tablet capabilities and some of the visual nations and sensibility -- -- Entrance -- and are there in -- it is there an integrated equalizer in the stock music player. Yes I actually have a little screen -- of that so some of the -- II I really -- Google borrowing a lot from. Other phone makers -- and who. And other mobile platforms break so there are a lot of elements from each TC sense -- are elements from Samsung TouchWiz one of which is you know an equalizer. There are elements from windows calendars even visual element I was borrowed from a Blackberry O ring -- that's that app button. -- kind of current and look at it policy. As the Blackberry menu evaporate there. Like the circle. -- -- -- -- -- On -- gestures from webos now so there is lot of familiarity and anything that Google has learned a lot from the manufacturers that -- in yet including. Equalizer setting which is in some 800 phones but the manufacturers about it but now will be in all -- On so. Eight out facial unlocking can be done with a photo. Yes it can and I did it in a video and say you can watch my video and see it also is it cool or is it a gimmick. Both. Pretty trick yet in a you can -- it made Google even says it's not -- secure -- so this is not going to be your first choice for security. And to be honest I found it kind of irritating you know after awhile cute and I like the -- -- -- And it okay and you know. Actually remember at that launch event when then there's undercutting get -- it's unlocked open it and instead -- with lights in the make up -- Yet a point there has during the video we have all these rates regulates or causing it costing like the chatter -- and I -- behind -- and yet -- and heavy make -- idea and it looked really different from the photo management I have to retake the photo right men so that it was my team fixed rate. That is really. So did you think I think it's cool. And because Google said they were gonna use facial recognition. They did so in -- may be able venture eventually into something actually useful. And -- -- -- out this is not a reason to use that as. Anyway. A lot more questions and answers and if you have more questions you can always. So here. 00 and another specialist battery life and I think battery life on this has been really good so far I am not under the battery testing by what's the rated. Do you remember. Now I mean I don't need to check out when and how happy so were gonna be doing this on our own but am I haven't really had problems with battery life -- and -- and it's been getting a lot of years now but speaking at battery unit -- -- -- -- for a ticket from hair. And sell and there -- a story last week. About it and researchers at Northwestern University. Have redesign the lithium ion battery. And to hold a charge longer and also charged faster and -- battery life is such an issue with today's devices whether it be a Smartphone or tablet. And even use your ego about a day and you need a retard and then -- in you know that's not ideal. So. There's a hold on to science behind how the -- ion batteries -- and you can. IE can be about it in that -- and my story won't go into it too much but basically. Batteries. There's a chemical reaction so it travels from one you know the lithium ions in the battery towel from one end of the battery to other. I -- which are called the anode and -- cathode. And hand. You know we knew we turned to battery they -- in reverse direction and the promise is. -- -- There isn't enough and that way -- designer now I'm dying and I'm you can't pack enough into -- and a I'm so that affects how long you can maintain a -- And then second issue is when they travel back from that cathode to anode. And there's there's kind of like traffic jams so it takes longer charge so basically -- at northwestern engineers have done is take kind of restructure the materiel and -- into using it crack -- silicon design now and and this allows. And -- to accommodate more than PM Adams I am and then. They created this chemical oxidation process where they create these holes in the acting caffeine sheets that -- the science title back faster. So what -- -- is they've increased the speed and recharge time by ten -- So that's off yeah and that hospital. I'm you know and that is so they've constitute -- on and on this time now they're gonna switch over the -- -- cathode to increase the effectiveness of batteries. And so you know even. This'll be great for Smartphones and tablets I am obviously but they're also looking at especially -- yes -- but they're also looking to apply this technology to electric cars. So you know. The battery can shut down at higher temperatures which you'll be and it's a good safety measures and for electric cars using lithium in batteries but. I'm I'm just happy to see this. -- redundancy. Naysayers out there we can watch it there they say it could hit the market place in the next three to five years so we're still. You may and in the meantime we're probably going to be Mikey and our phones last Monday one -- yes that you Sony and a you don't care that -- -- battery and it's amazing that all of the technology it act as into the fountain. The battery kind of seems like one of the simplest building blocks yeah yeah I mean that's -- you expect -- amusing techie right acted in. The screen in the camera and the speed. But you know everything else has been advancing and the battery and battery hasn't actually the first time I've heard of any -- advancement of battery -- and it sounds like you know they've been working on and I am but it's just finding the right materials kind of get this results in nineteen. You know. Northwest and friendly comment. Hit hit and solution -- and so I'm you know -- -- compete continuing research to. Kind of improve the overall performance of the batteries so all hallelujah I now have a eatery has sent back -- me. -- -- Okay so. We've been talking about Smartphones we've been talking about battery is let's talk about fun but doesn't exist yet. This indeed be -- found death rate obviously because Amazon's already got their hands and tablet -- So the Smart and -- next -- and yes so basically. And -- -- Humana and said you know about be the most logical step for Amazon is to create and knew I did create a Smartphone and -- Ten and then and -- supplied to me net and a checks and there it -- Eighteen parent talks with Foxconn to develop the Smartphone. And it could feature Texas and Foxconn -- then be time because and iPhone and so that's their big gap in fact right. -- -- so the rumor is that it's gonna have a text instrument a -- pork processor. In cost between 150 to -- 170 and dollars to build. And so. I -- uses fat you know we know that it's gonna happen balanced for the sake of it let's say it is coming you know what can Amazon do to really -- A Kindle Smartphone successful way you know how can they entice and customers and I thought of a few things. Come first thing is pricing you know -- -- it. -- not always comes -- actually hanging that's -- big deal at the Kindle fire raid it's not the best tablet but I 200 dollars. It's so much more are affordable and accessible to -- an -- hanging out tenants tablets too much yet about lake -- small to me. Act -- really it is -- mom it's kind of -- the -- is seven. It's a seven and is any evidence yet that certain look and yes I mean seven -- sounds -- right and this thing back. Make a -- dog it. -- CI you know you've got iPad two which are defined eyes and you know. For -- -- -- -- -- so much ease in coming to market the connect for that and and you're you're still getting a very entertainment device is not like. It's cheap and crappy it's -- pretty entertaining and you know it's -- and -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- And so you know that -- analysts are saying -- Amazon could sell the -- Smart phone to carriers act cost which is 1517. I am which you know can mean that they'll sell it to customers for free on contract. I am but I said what I would really hate is for them to sell an unlocked. At that cost at cost -- just the -- And just do away with the hassle of contracts and things like that I am making. You know. Smartphone owners today and in our usual -- for the most part of -- we have. I mean really unlocked phones are part of our culture at right part of our process so if you have an unlocked phone. In a -- How many people would -- would do with it rang repeatedly like a -- in a by the stone and -- you know the question is now lack. So I think it's definitely easier to sold on contract will share -- I mean. It dollar off contract through carrier -- but then and a -- uniting with. Maybe that's our job to educate people about a month and -- you know in. And I agree here I just think it would be harder I think it would -- fewer units through yeah -- -- they could have that option you know and there -- a couple other people. Harry McCracken and move contributes the -- -- I'll fill the -- and editor of technology and there. You know outside of Amazon and offering hassle free wireless service -- Indicators and I mean staging but these -- -- -- -- and -- -- for our ad business insider. And -- -- you know -- candles have a special offers make a special offers thought they could do something like that with a Smartphone. I am thirty day Annie you know traditionally bundled the TBS IB -- -- -- by the public at the Smart thing ever for a pandemic and and then you take it to your carrier. -- with ads or something like that. And and then I talked about hardware and to kind of keep up with the latest technology I -- who built the Kindle for. And I can of action and announced -- mean whoever built it for them yes would probably also take ever hardware right and you know and with all this. -- services that Amazon offers with their video store and and Kindle books start you know I would like to see at least a four inch display. And they very talking about the dual core processor from TI. You know eight gig of by two -- -- intake in a fire -- eight. Gigabytes of internal memory I would exceed sixteen even though you know they have their cloud services and you can stream on -- and I feel it to Phoenix talent -- top line for when you can't. -- sponsor gases when your -- an airplane for exam yet. You know good batting and -- stability and make calls and things that. And you know I think -- have a leg up on the -- I you know they're doing great with the services and content that they offer. Through the -- isn't in Thinkpads and the one and an issue that I was kind of on the -- -- was operating system. You know I think the easiest and most logical thing for them -- stick with Android -- has they've got that the App Store. And for Android and but I would. Partly selfish reasons enough to see them snatch up twelve us. And funny little second -- and well -- Talked about this about a month ago project are kind of predicted anything that you know I think they're gonna do is -- any -- have a point blank. And are -- meet the commentary is dead you know if they stick with Android it's gonna be another Android phone with maybe Amazon services through them so what's gonna be. I -- giant silk browser yes. -- which -- I haven't been impressed with and when -- the buying toilet Paper but I actually yet. And so for that reason and I would like Tennessee and do something different and whether that be webos is something else and -- -- and Kearny -- and good point you know they would also have to invest money and you know. Recruiting developers to create you know create apps for this platform for webos yeah I mean that happen. I personally and in -- bonuses is dead now I refuse to pay. I don't mean I know pictures here's the thing we all its webos when it came out via a hardware couldn't sell it -- through. Wasn't enough investment into -- and there is too much competition. So webos flattered HP took it on did nothing -- announced languishing and how we don't know what's gonna happen yet and probably gonna get sold or to -- or something. Or hold on to you just for the patents line. However. You know the thing is we like it when it first came out and buy it. How many years ago -- that and how much has happened since then. And I think at this point it would be smarter just to invest an existing pop up or at least going places is ninety I think its -- on. -- -- -- -- You can TVX know what I'm saying is adding it makes more sense to invest in those platforms and the U. In how partnerships. With. Those operating systems now rather than writer revive webos which has already been sitting around for a long time not advancing -- Well again this is my. What I would -- happy and incidents that led -- -- -- you know IA at the end of -- I would I would love to hear your opinion and you know black. You would want to see from the -- mark from what would make you -- it I think we have a question of the -- -- Okay so question of the week is what would you want in a -- found. Remember that fees that phone in rooms like that's the end and an analyst -- the -- of the button with the patent. I don't want that night on -- -- rates -- stick with us are gonna have a quick ad break and then we are gonna come back with headline news. And Molly Wood and Brian -- inviting you to join us for the 2011 edition of CNET holiday help -- happening every Monday at 3 PM eastern noon Pacific it's where we make you look like a brilliant tech gift giver as we take your live calls and -- your email. That's -- -- and one right now the holiday help desk at cnet.com. Along with the rest of CNET editors were gonna pointed to the right products at the right price it's holiday help desk Monday that new -- Back with headline news MetroPCS. An HTT are getting chummy with -- wildfire S which we have already seen for T-Mobile. And two colors for US cellular and now it is coming -- -- MetroPCS. For -- 179. And 99 and that has a 3.2 inch -- PGA touch screen five megapixel camera with LED flash. And -- -- 2.3 gingerbread. There eighty. And in a curious move AT&T has read -- I have raised the price of the iPhone 3GS to. 99 cents. Author -- ADM. But it's interesting I mean and it's free and on contracts and meaning and it's taken a huge hit nano -- the -- in the event of bottom -- -- -- -- otter is shipping in December and a rainbow of colors. And accounts. Accounts like seven I count seven of them. And so -- to select markets running -- 2.3 point five gingerbread and has a single core one point four gigahertz processor eight megapixel camera. Four gigabytes of internal storage does a really big battery its -- in hundred -- Yes they -- processing three -- battery and two megapixel front facing camera probably won't see it in the US for quite awhile. -- Sprint has released at Benes affordable Android phone -- the -- -- breasts and is running Android 2.3 gingerbread and has of portrait pretty keyboard. And cost twenty bucks and you know obviously they're gonna be some tree -- -- -- two point six inch touch screen a 3.2 megapixel camera. -- but you do get hot spot capabilities and so. Now if you want to enjoy -- own. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- So I am too shabby not to gun and other it is -- an acute. Your eye out because apparently Mac -- -- is becoming a malware magnet according Q McAfee. I -- -- -- a huge jump in instances of malware. Now I haven't really heard a lot of real world examples of people getting malware and I've definitely seen -- -- entering apps and then some other apps then definitely all of the -- top. Antivirus companies hired getting in the fray now I've heard them talking about the incidents in the thousands -- -- house. But it haven't really seen a lot of it which doesn't mean that -- -- that doesn't have. -- -- -- -- We have of reviews immense although it's not just the galaxy nexus but also the HT -- heat then. Now and technical to click about the person that she didn't see me I know it's -- -- and you really and should probably stay -- 9 o'clock I and I am I. I -- minute I -- like. The contents of her -- on my dad your -- and on my floor. And on my chair -- think about the name them all back to happen. In storage space. Way on to collect this on it is it is actually really cute and it's a Windows Phone it's running Windows Phone 7 point five remained out. And has a single core one point five gigahertz Qualcomm processor and again a lot of windows phones don't seem to suffer in internal performance and all with a single core processor at this point. And so about it is not a detriment has an eight megapixel camera and that actually check photos that we were quite impressed -- And a front facing one point three megapixel camera for your vanity pictures -- -- But it it it is review -- and I could be a deterrent for some un has -- of phones and it doesn't have an expendable memory. And the call quality wasn't the -- flew past on AT&T. So there you have it and no pricing it 299. -- nine with a new two year service agreement so. AT&T actually has invested quite a bit in windows -- and the infamous enhancements and thinking cap and they absolutely do etc. quickly -- becoming sort of the windows and educator and I'd like to -- -- phones on. All of the carriers. And sort of like more modern and every carrier has one break but not every carrier has been -- -- -- latest. But it. Either a lot on eighteen teaser if your interest in Windows Phone and you want a really big screen. Then go check it out and of course with caller reviews you can read all the present times to davidians that's -- says -- -- at CNET. And then -- reviewed a phone -- me and not. Himself. I pray that it and it. I looked at the Q is there at a -- Max which is I am a direct connects. Phone for sprint but the difference here is that it's operating on sprint CD main network instead of next -- I don't network which they are phasing out in 2013. The direction extremists the replacement for -- Yet -- I mean it's -- push to talk services but it's just on the CDMA network instead of -- and and there are a couple of advantages is that -- why and being faster data speeds and sec and eventually. -- -- you're gonna have brought a coverage but for now you know they're still been -- -- and AdAware excelled. That was one of the kinds of -- the -- max's if you're outside -- 3-D. Coverage on -- direct connect services are so. You know -- AC if you know you live in the kind of a spotty area with -- -- sprint -- coverage I would hold off and you know. Maybe sick with an -- -- and phone for now. And it's a pretty basic handset it's you know and like all the direct connect phones to red dead meets military specifications and things like that. It is really expect it is really thick but it and they'll definitely looks pretty Durham yeah yeah I -- -- about the direct connects terrorists and have it I would I would -- the call quality actually it. You know we have problems connecting it First Amendment Aaron why. I can actually arable -- yeah I -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Being beaten and activate it hasn't for -- as.
