Dell Inspiron Mini 10
[ Background music ] >> Dan Akeman: Hi, I'm Dan Akeman and here we are take a look at the Dell Mini 10. Now Dell has had their mini 10 net book out for a little while but this new version packs in some high end extras that are worth taking a look at. First among them is you're gonna notice that the screen which looks very nice under edge to edge glass is a higher resolution display than you're used to seeing in a net book. This is 1366x768 while most 10 inch notebooks are 1024x600. We're starting to see that on a few of the more expensive net books and if you flip it around and look at the back we've got kind of a cool custom pattern on here. Dell has a whole bunch of different ones you can choose from, adds about $40 to the cost over just getting the plain white net book. You know other than that it looks and feels pretty much like a regular net book. You've got Dell's wide key, flat keyboard that's pretty useable. You've also go their kind of almost widescreen touchpad with the 2 buttons built right into the bottom of the touchpad, not really our favorite. You do have some cool high end extras you might miss if you don't take a look. You've got HTMI on this side and there's even a built in TV tuner over here. You plug a little antennae into that we don't find TV tuners to be really all that useful. If you want to spend a little bit more however you can even get integrated mobile broadband depending on who your provider is. So adding all these high end extras you're gonna come pretty close to blowing it out of the net book category. Instead of 299, 399 it's probably going to be closer to 600 bucks which is pretty much regular laptop territory. I'm Dan Akeman and that's the Dell Inspiron Mini 10. ^M00:01:32 [ Music ]
