Hi, I'm David Katzmaier from CNET and I've seen some big TVs, and I've seen some 8K TVs at CES 2018.
This is a really big 8K TV that happens to be OLED.
The best TV technology on the market right now.
I'm in the booth at LG display, and they're showing me this prototype 88 inch, 8K TV that's Four times the resolution, four times the number of pixels of standard 4K TVs.
Of course it's got OLED technology which gets perfect black levels.
Gets nice and bright to say 800 [UNKNOWN] luminance much like their current smaller OLED TVs which are right around 77 inches for the 4K version.
Of course the 88 inch version, not on the market yet.
They're saying it might be two years before we see one commercialized, but still it's a really cool concept, and it shows you how big you can get and how fine the resolutions are.
If you go really close, you can see really fine details.
The words kind of pop off the screen.
It's Olez so you get that amazing picture quality.
With AK, of course, there is no 8K content available.
But when it does eventually come out, and you know it will, this TV's gonna be ready for it.
