I'm Wayne Cunningham here at CES 2013 sitting in a 2014 Chevy Spark EV.
This has the Mylink entertainment system and this is the first time we're gonna get a test out the Siri integration.
I've got an iPhone cabled to the system right here and with the voice command button, I can go straight to Siri and use my Siri commands in the car.
So let's give it a try.
So I pushed and hold the voice command button to start Siri.
What is the high temperature?
-The high will be 50 degrees this afternoon.
-So that just told me the high temperature based on a Siri voice command through the iPhone.
I can also have to do other things like playing music for example.
Play Aerosmith.
-Playing Aerosmith.
-So it immediately goes through the music library on the phone.
Starts playing the artist that I named.
I could have also named an album or a track or would have played anything I wanted to.
Now, one other cool thing with this new Mylink system is it also has another app hooked up.
We use to only have a couple of apps, Pandora and Stitcher.
But now we also get TuneIn.
TuneIn is the internet radio app that plays
70,000 stations from around the world.
I got it playing a station from it looks like New York right here and I could go to the menu and find any of many stations, different languages, anything I wanted.
Any stations around my favorite stations from anywhere and I can put those stations into a favorite list and then just find them really easily.
Once it loads up, I've got WFUV, got Radio 90's alternative, the Mountain-- all sorts of stations.
I can program them in its favorites and listen to them anytime through the iPhone hooked up to the system.
Also works with Android.
Now, this system will be coming out later this year.
Chevy's gonna roll us out and it's a Mylink capable cars, that's the Sonic and the Spark, and the Spark EV too which comes out this year.
