The move is most certainly a way to get a younger audience, the kind [UNKNOWN] has been able to cultivate, interested in the CNN brand.
Sling TV users are about to get cloud-based DVR that will allow for some shows to be viewed later.
The feature will roll out as an invite-only beta to some of the service's users who use Sling TV with the [UNKNOWN] device.
Plans to expand the feature to additional platforms will begin to hit in the next few months.
Of course the time of the announcement is no coincidence, as AT&T's DirecTV now has also been announced.
Starting at a discounted price of just $35 a month, new DirecTV Now customers can get access to 100 channels Which will cost more when normal pricing goes into effect.
The new service is offering all kinds of incentives like a free Apple TV to those who pay up front for three months.
And $5 a month for HBO.
