>> Hi, I'm Natalie Del Conte with CNET TV, here at CES, taking a first look at the Cannon Vixia [assumed spelling] HF10 high definition camcorder. Now Cannon released the line of Vixia this week. This is the highest end of the Vixia model, the HF100 is one step below this and two hundred dollars cheaper. This one comes in at one thousand ninety nine dollars. And the reason that it's the highest of the high end is because it has dual Flash memory. So you have the ability to not only, to record to an SD card, it also has sixteen gigabytes of internal Flash memory, which is such a cool thing. With the sixteen gigs of internal memory you can record at the highest quality settings at 1920 x 1080 for about two hours. If you want to record at the lower quality settings, you have about six hours. As for battery life, you have about three hours, but you also have the option of purchasing an additional battery that mounts here on the back, which will give you five hours, and that will run you about a hundred and forty dollars. You have three modes of capture here. There's a standard mode, you can also record in something that's called 24P cinema, which is the same quality that movies are shot in, or there's a 30P option which is great for movies that you intend to play on a computer screen or stream over the internet. Now you notice this camera is really small, and the reason they were able to keep it small is because there's no view finder anywhere, you just use the two point seven inch LCD screen on the back here.
This camera is gonna be available in April of this year, and again it's one thousand ninety nine dollars.
