iPad bags are kinda hard to shop for.
I found that they are a little finicky.
You want one that's big enough to hold your iPad and accessories then, if you're going to a full-sized messenger bag that may be too large.
If you're going too small, it might seem a little silly if it's holding nothing more than just your iPad.
Books bag is pretty nicely sized.
It's actually not much larger in terms of length or width than the iPad itself and it's made out of a stylish mix of leather and nylon in an all black design.
The bag fits over your shoulder and has easy front flap access.
But, it has enough pockets that you store other stuff too.
Underneath here there's a pocket for the iPad and there's also a center pocket that holds notebooks and other accessories or your phone.
And, there's a zipper front flap here that's wide, deep and big enough for any sort
of other odds and ends which I feel like I have all the time in my pockets and you probably do, too.
Now, if you're an iPad or iPad 2 fan, there's just one thing that's good to know is that the original iPad slotted into this naked and if you put it into a case it wouldn't really fit in here.
The iPad 2 even with the smart cover and a back cover fits in here easily with room to spare, making it actually a more functional bag for iPad 2 owners.
That's about it when it comes to the bag but it's also really comfortable.
This seatbelt nylon strap that fits
around the side, doesn't have any extra bulky padding like you kinda get a little sweaty and hard to adjust.
And, because it lies flat on the inside here there are no buckles or anything else that's cause any jangling if you care about that.
It's nice for commuting and lies flat against your side.
Now, one thing that we didn't like is that there are no buckles or magnets here.
This flap closes with Velcro pads which gets noisy if you are at concert or someplace where you may not wanna hear people opening and closing your bag.
And, also the rest is
fine but sometimes it takes a little bit of fidgeting to adjust perfectly and the iPad pocket inside here has no zipper or other additional weather-proofing flap.
This outer pocket here is well-lined and will protect against the rain.
But, you do have edges over here, very small, if we're gonna be not picky, maybe water droplets could get in there if you're in a downpour.
So, there could be more secure bags out there.
But the weight feel is good.
It's very sturdy.
It's got this nice and rubberized bottom here in case you'd put in a paddle or any sort
of a wet spot on the ground.
And, it's got enough style that if you wanna wear this after work, it doesn't really feel quite like a backpack.
It's a little more like a going-out bag.
A $145 of that Cobra Courier XS is not cheap but, it's one of the best designed and rugged feeling small over the shoulder iPad bags that we've seen.
