-I'm Nicole Lee, Senior Associate Editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the BlueAnt S3 Compact Speaker Phone meant for your car.
On the back here is a visor so that it clips onto your sun visor.
The BlueAnt S3 does not have as many advanced features as the S4, but it's still a pretty good compact speaker phone.
On the front here, you do get the multi-function touch button.
You also get
the volume controls on the side here.
They're all touch-sensitive, so you just have to tap it lightly for it to work.
The BlueAnt S3 compact has a few typical features.
You can answer and then reject calls, of course.
It also has A2DP music streaming, so you can stream your music from your phone to the speaker.
It even has an FM transmitter, so you can transmit your music that way.
The BlueAnt S3 also has multipoint, so you can connect
up to 2 devices at the same time.
The BlueAnt S3 also has voice alerts that let you know incoming caller ID, but you do need to transfer your phonebook to the device for it to recognize incoming caller names.
The BlueAnt S3 Compact is quite affordable at only around $80 retail.
You can get it cheaper online, of course.
However, we do think you should spend only $20 more to get the S4, which is way more advanced.
