President Joe Biden on Wednesday revoked the previous administration's executive orders against tik tok and WeChat in August of 2020.
The Trump administration called these apps a national emergency because of their data collection practices.
The new order signed by Biden requires regular evaluation of apps linked to foreign adversaries, and provides criteria on identifying apps that may pose national security risks.
