With the Google Assistant, you can say a phrase like, hey Google, I'm home too automatically turn on the lights or start your favorite music as soon as you walk in the door.
This is a feature called routines, and it works across Android and IOS devices As well as the Google Home smart speakers.
Go the Google app on Android and open Setting, then Google Assisted Settings.
In iOS, you'll find this in the Assistant app.
Choose the Routines option And select which one you'd like to personalize.
For example, when I say, hey Google, good morning.
I want the assistant to tell me the weather and play the news.
Hi, Lexy, it is 10:43AM.
Right now in San Francisco it is 12 degrees and sunny.
Here's the latest news.
Smart home devices are also supported.
So you could even start brewing a morning cup of coffee if it's connected to a smart plug or turn up the heat on a connected thermostat.
