AutoComplete: Trump tariffs take a big bite out of Ford's profits

Here's what's making news on Road Show.
Ford CEO, Jim Hackett, is saying that Trump's metal tariffs have already cost the blue oval over a billion dollars in profits.
That's a huge number, but the interesting thing is that Ford only services around 2% of its raw materials from overseas, which means that other companies with a smaller percentage of domestically serviced materials Must really be hurting.
Fiat's modern 500 has been around for a long time now.
And it's been offered in a number of special additions that came and went.
One of those was the 1957 edition.
But fans of the car complained loudly enough that FCA brought it as an option package for the 2019 model year.
Yeah, we're shocked too that there's enough clout in the FIAT 500 fan base to make that happen, but the 1957 Edition gets special wheels and paint colors, as well as interior trim, for just under a grand.
Audi's betting big on its e-tron electric SUV, and if statements by a French Audi exec are to be believed, then that bet is paying off.
The executive claims that the company has received over 10,000 reservations for the vehicle already, and while those are hardly Tesla Model 3 numbers It's not bad for a car that will retail for north of 70 grand.
We're expecting to see the E-tron in the US early next year.
But not on dealer lots, because it's special order only.
