AutoComplete: McLaren's Speedtail is a 250 mph stunner

Here's what's making news on Road Show. McLaren has been hard at work trying to come up with a worthy successor to the 1994 McLaren F1, considered by many to be the greatest car ever made, and it may have finally succeeded. The Mclarens Speed tail is a 17 ft long 1000+ horsepower Love Letter to speed built to do in excess of 250 miles per hour, it will cost an excess of 2 million dollars, and only a hundred and six will be built. Our man Steve [INAUDIBLE] went to the UK to see it and came back almost speechless, so that's got to be a good sign. GM is proposing a new federal EV mandate that is in direct conflict to the goals put forth by the current presidential administration. The General wants to see 7 million electric vehicles on the American roads by 2030, a goal which it would achieve by instituting a national zero emissions vehicle mandate, requiring all manufacturers to make 7% of their sales electric vehicles. In the next two years, kinda like California does already. Word around the schoolyard is that Toyota is considering resurrecting its midengined MR2 to help round out its performance lineup. According to a European Toyota exec, the odds of it happening are pretty good.
