AutoComplete: Audi is going to spend $16B on EVs by 2023

Here's what's making news on Road Show. Audi decided it was time to pull all the stops and make it rain on the future mobility industry to the tune of sixteen billion dollars. Some of that money will go towards the design and production of some twenty new electric models and the rest will go towards facilities and the tooling to make those models. And it's also supposed to happen by twenty twenty three. So Chevrolet just dropped the new Silverado HD on the world, and the kindest thing we can think to say about it is that it's basically the truck equivalent of a boy named Sue. GM sure made it ugly, but it also equipped it with a diesel engine that produces over 900 lb ft of torque So it's at least tough enough to stand up to the ridicule. What do you guys think? Jaguar Land Rover just announced that it's not planning on participating in the Geneva motor show next year, joining the likes of Ford and Volvo in bailing on one of the calendar's biggest events. Reps for Jaguar Land Rover said that the company is evaluating the value of each major auto show individually to see where it can It can extract the biggest benefits.
